I visit Chase bank in Jension all the time because I commend the attributes of the bank teller "Mike." He is always extremely helpful, and happy. Mike should be recognized for all his hard work, dedication, and patience!! 
With that being said, I naturally thought I would get the same SUPERB service I had received previously. So I went to this location to speak with a personal banker regarding some questions about my credit card. 
I was first assisted by Sonia C. Hartl. She didn't smile, and she wasn't friendly. Despite my efforts of trying not to overwhelm her with my three requests. She handled my first request with ease. As well as  My second request. 
Than It came to explaining my balance on my credit card statement. 
When I asked about my credit card statement, all she did was print out a list of the transactions that had taken place. So I explained to her I didn't understand the X amount that was due, Because I had made three different payments. Thats when she Proceeded to become snide, and condescending. By responding to my question by sarcastically asking If I "even knew how to Add Mathematically." I was appalled and felt extremely disrespected. At which Point I stated with the calmest tone I could muster.  " Apparently I don't, Therefore I would like it if you could get out your calculator and assist me." Sonia than had the audacity to tell me that I better stop being rude to her before she doesn't assist me at all. As well as asking If I'd like to speak with her manager. I said "sure." I didn't see the point of speaking with him, but if she felt she is not equipped to handle her job I would like to speak to someone who does. 
Well, I thought the issue would be resolved when Chad Miller came to help me. Turns out, I was in for a huge surprise! Again, I went over everything with him. All I needed someone to do was explain to me why my bank statement was X amount. As well as how much was due in November. 
When speaking with Chad Miller, I explained I don't think your understanding what I'm asking. At which point he responded " No, I just think you don't understand." I was so flustered and upset, because I felt so violated and belittled. I stated " Not to worry about it, I will go to a different bank and speak with a different banker. Because I didn't feel understood. Nor did I come to the bank to argue with someone." Chad agreed it would be best if I went to a different bank. So I wished him a good day. 
I went to the chase bank about four miles down the road. Where I was greeted professionally, promptly, and with a smile! The banker even shook my hand. I explained my question as well as the situation I just came out of from the bank in Jenison. It was apparent I had just been crying and I was very upset. He was very apologetic. He was also patient and kind. He calmly sat down with me and went through my statement step for step. I am so appreciative of his efforts!!! 
All in All, I will only go to the Chase bank in Jenison if Mike can assist me, because I believe hes a good apple that has not been ruined by the bunch. However, for personal banking issues. NEVER AGAIN. 
I've had poor customer service but this was by far the worst! Not only by an employee but a Manager as well. Very Disappointed.

A good banking experience.  Personnel are very friendly.  Lucas has been very helpful and taken a personal interest in meeting any need I may have.  I would recommend him to anyone.

Very professional and friendly staff. I went in to open a new account, had all of my questions asked and was on my way within a half hour.
