Chautauqua Offices of Psychotherapy and Evaluation, Inc. offers a comprehensive array of quality mental health and substance abuse treatment services, including outpatient counseling, adult residential services, prevention education, psychiatric treatment, crisis counseling, case management, screening and referral, and wellness programming for all ages.

Much of our daily activity involves counseling normal people with normal problems - in their marriages, with their children, at their jobs, and other situations which may cause stress or depression. Individual, group, or family therapy may be recommended depending upon the nature of the problem. Treatment helps many normal people understand their problems more fully and lead happier, more satisfying lives.

I keep receiving bills despite having talked to them and confirming I don't own them anything. I would not recommend going here unless you had no other options. In general whatever system they are using does not seem to be working well at all. Other than that I can say that the therapists were very decent and kind, but I can't really say anything else positive about the place. Its a very clinical, uncomfortable, and basic place. Again I think there are some very genuine and hardworking therapists there, but really it just does not seem to really function as a whole.

Good luck trying to contact these people. I emailed my doctor and didn't get a response. I had to call 12 times throughout the week and was told, "Oh the doctor is too busy to answer her emails." It's been two weeks, though. No one is that busy. I've called 5 times today and it is urgent! They really don't care about you, or the fact that you have no refills for your RX and could have a seizure if you miss one. They never answer the phone. It takes days to get a call back, if you're lucky. Don't waste your time.

I'm sorry for the others that haven't gotten quality service, but seriously I am feeling that my therapist, shrink, and also the staff are giving my unique situation the respect and attention it deserves. My therapist along with the psychiatrist bend over backwards and respond to the urgency I express in my ongoing treatment with COPE. May I suggest more open communication and sincerity from those who are feeling like these guys just don't care.

It was recommended that I see a therapist with the initials P.S. by someone because she was suppose to be a "Christian" based counselor. She seemed nice enough  on first visit though a little scattered, misplacing things, not intently listening to me.

First thing was she was late to our first appoint. and then she could not remember my appointment times. It would be for 2pm and she would call me at 1:15 wanting to know why I missed my 1pm appointment. The door into the building was always locked for safety purposes she said, but I had to wait each time for her to unlock it even though she knew I was always on time.

Out of the 5 times I went we were interrupted at least 3 times and sometimes up to 10 each session, by people knocking on her door and she would actually get up and answer it. She has 2 cellphones she kept on her desk and she was constantly texting or answering it, making calls.

I had made the remark to her a couple of times that maybe I should quit coming as she seemed too busy for me. I would be just chatting away about my feelings or my week and she was always distracted by her computer or phones or something.

The final straw was when I went to the last appointment at 4pm. I was running a little behind and had to drive 20 miles and pick up my laptop from the repairman before 5pm and going onto my appoint, so I was having a little anxiety and rushing in traffic, but managed to get there 10 minutes early. I went in and had the receptionist let me back to the bathroom. It now was about 4pm. As I came back towards the waiting room there was a black lady and 3 little children standing in the doorway of the waiting room talking to the receptionist who was standing in the hall doorway saying she wanted to see Pam. The receptionist explained to her that Pam was with a client and I was next. This lady insist Pam be told, so the receptionist did. I sit down to wait, I talk to the black lady and the children, they are all calm and pleasant, nothing seems wrong.

Pam then comes out and tells me to just sit tight, she will be done with this lady in "just a couple of minutes". I can hear them all back there talking and laughing and having what sounds to be a good ole time and I am fuming! At 20 minutes after 4pm, I told the Receptionist that I am leaving, tired of being made to feel unimportant and Didn't like being lied to!  Pam tried to call me once, left no message. I wrote her a hot little text when I got home about her unprofessional, rude attitude and she writes back and says" well, you would have been seen, you could have waited".

I called her supervisor and left message about the complaint days ago and I have heard nothing! I have been seeing therapists off and on since the 70's and these people are by far the most unprofessional, sociopathic "counselors" I have ever seen. STAY AWAY!

I went here for help with grief & depression. They were no help whatsoever. The place looks like only criminals go there when they have a court order. There’s a sheriff on standby and everything is locked down. It’s really cold and uncomfortable. They have you fill out loads of paperwork and then a ‘counselor’ goes over it with you. She didn’t seem to understand my issue at all and her best advice was to take depression meds or contact my doctor for a referral to another counselor. Then they told me to call back in 5 days for a treatment plan. You won’t find help here.
