UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT- New management, new menu with Southern Chef. Everything was delicious. The chicken pesto was perfectly concocted. The salami and provolone cheese in the Cheebo chopped salad tasted fresh. The peach crumble was so Southern. Friendly and quick service!!! The outdoor patio area is dog friendly. Great place after hiking.
This place is on Hollywood Blvd and was actually on the Map as Ma Soul's Chicken and Waffles but we couldn't find it when looking. Finally after walking around a few extra times walked in and asked this restaurant where it was and they explained it was actually them with a different menu typically for takeout but we were welcome to order and eat. Overall the food was good although the chicken was slightly overcooked it was a welcome dinner as we were craving chicken. One cool thing we ran into Bam Margera Jackass who was picking up some food with his dogs and had a very brief conversation with him. Definitely a neat highlight.
Great place to meet friends to have lunch and drinks. With its convenient location in Hollywood, many people either stop by to dine in or order to go. The food is amazing here. Unlike other cafés, Cheeto has some fantastic gourmet comfort food. I love their Buffalo chicken wings which are great for watching games and parties. Their truffle pizza is out of this world. The flavor is unbelievable. The pizza dough is so good too with soft and chewy textures. If you just want to have a drink here, I recommend their Arnold Palmer ice tea. They have done the tea the right way, not too sugar but got the right amount of freshly brewed tea tastes. I understand Cheebo is also very popular on the delivery food apps. You can get the food delivered to you through most of the major APPs. Parking is mostly on the side street.
My son in law LOVES this place, but I thought it was just ok. I had their Margherita pizza and it was their interpretation of one--thick dough, no tomatoes, lots of greasy cheddar cheese. We were here on a Sunday pm, the place was packed. And they had 2 servers. When you have to stand up and wave yr hands in the air to get anyone's attention, it's no fun/no good.
Food was great. Was a little worried when we first sat down and had the menu but the food was great. Tea was fresh and the pizza was bomb. Service on the other hand was off. We had to get and ask for ranch, refills and every out check. The waitress checked on use only to take out order. I would under stand if it was packedFood: 5/5
This place is excellent for breakfast, brunch, lunch, and happy hour. We had dinner there, but the lack of table service minimized the classic romantic dinner experience of being served my opinion... The food was tasty and excellent. The staff was super friendly and very accommodating. The place is nicely decorated and I highly recommend to try this place out during lunch. If you are old school like me, and not into the whole "use your smart phone for everything in life", you can luckily order at the bar and go about it the old school way in getting your food. For the new kids around the block, you can use your phone and do an entire self-serve experience if you want. Either way, the food is awesome and the staff is super friendly. Lastly, this place will not charge a gratuity and/or expect tips and they even make it a point on their menu. That's a nice experience and a huge +
The employee REFUSED to listen to my COMPLAINT and REFUSED to take my ORDER so as I promised her, I'll express my dissatisfaction as a review. I ordered from the restaurant a dish I've ordered for years and became extremely nauseated upon eating the meal. Id taken my AM medication and gave the benefit of the doubt to Cheebos and saved the uneaten portion for later as I've done many times in the past. Unfortunately, when I attempted to complete the cuisine, I was instantly nauseated with the first spoonful and threw the rest in the garbage. I understand the restaurant business goes thru high turnover and felt it was possibly a staff person who was not clean; poor preparation or whatever as I've been a patron since 2007 and can count on one hand the number of times I've been disappointed. I did NOT want a refund as it wasn't that big of a deal. When I called this AM, I decided as a COURTESY to mention my experience just being nice and providing awareness. In MID SENTENCE, the girl who answered the phone stated, "You have to call on the same day! No REFUND!" I couldn't believe her reaction. I immediately stated, I'm NOT calling for a refund and clearly have given you guys the benefit of the doubt as I'm calling to place a REPEAT order. I simply wanted to mention what happened September 3, 2023 and allow your team to reassess - maybe MORE people experienced nausea; maybe it was something wrong with the food used that day....I was SIMPLY being nice. I went on a SECOND TIME to attempt making a NEW order and she cut me off AGAIN. "George will be here after 12:30pm so you can call back." It was 917am and I was attempting to order breakfast. So BASICALLY she REFUSED to even listen to my complaint - INSULTED me like I was begging for money - and REFUSED to take my breakfast order. This is a NEGATIVE review for: - The nauseating dish September 3, 2023. - The HORRIFIC customer service September 12 2023 As a person who has seen amazing times for this restaurant, I hate to see The West Hollywood Cheebo spiral in such an UGLY way but I guess it is what it is. I'll Call George at 12:30pm and PER the nasty young lady from this AM, I'll take my breakfast orders somewhere else as she CLEARLY didn't want to hear it!
Don’t order here unless you want to end up in the hospital. Found a pen cap in sandwich, fully intact as if purposefully placed. The chef angrily stared at me for a good 15 seconds while I was waiting for my sandwich, then I somehow end up with a choking hazard in my food. I’m very understanding if a dish has something in it that’s not edible that you find in a kitchen, but this instance seemed too odd. I didn’t make a disturbance in the restaurant, and my order was the sandwich as it comes, the only thing is I wore something he might not have agreed with. I strongly believe this chef is attempting to harm me, from his demeanor to this very odd action. I just threw out the sandwich and left in a hurry, i didn’t want them to remake anything for me since I did not feel comfortable with the chef making it. Please be careful ordering here, if the chef doesn’t like you, he’ll try putting you in the hospital.
Brunch at Cheebo is Amazing! We got the avocado toast, fruit bowl, pancakes and the Sunmuffin breakfast sandwiches! Everything was delicious and fresh! I got the breakfast sandwich without the meat and it was still filling and hit the spot! Great friendly service and always a nice place to come for breakfast or dinner! For dinner I love their salmon and asparagus! I recommend for anyone on any diet!
The food was amazing and tasty. We came for brunch and had delicious flapjacks/ pancakes, avocado toast, fruit bowl and stud muffin breakfast sandwiches. Everything exceeded our expectations. The service was amazing. Everything was perfect. 10 out of 10.Food: 5/5
