Sooo delicious. I really wasnt expecting it to be so good. Just really wanted to put somethin on my stomach. Even the fries were really good. Wish i would have taken a picture. I got the buffalo chicken melt btw
I had a chance to check this food truck out this weekend. I was super hungry so I ordered the garlic steak melt. I must say that after so much anticipation I wasn't WOWED at all. Although the steak was tender, it lacked flavor and absolutely zero garlic. The sandwich needed a spread of some sort, maybe a garlic aioli or chipotle sauce?? Something was missing given the meat did not taste seasoned. The fries were good, crispy and were actually the highlight of the meal. But I was overall disappointed after reading so many great reviews. Also for 18.75 was rather steep for a sandwich and fries without the drink!!
Waited over an hour for food at the I Love Irondale festival, along with around 20 other people. The guy cooking had so many order tickets above his grill that he couldn't fit anymore yet they still kept taking new orders. Over the course of the hour that we stood there they only called 4 people's numbers. THAT'S 4 ORDERS PER HOUR!?!? They only had 4 menu items and they were all grilled cheese sandwiches lol. The people in front of us weren't ordering tons of food either, just one or two sandwiches each. Watching the cook, he would cook each order individually, so if the ticket he was working on only had one sandwich then he would only put the meat and bread for that one order on this massive cooktop. The DJ booth across from the food truck said that it was about to start storming and that the event was ending early, hearing this the other two workers in the food truck decided to continue to sit and watch the slowest cook in America continue to struggle. As it starts raining with still around 16 people still waiting for their food the guy taking orders apologized and said "We normally work downtown and the wait for food is only 5 minutes, please be patient this is a festival, thank you for coming out!" At this point the rain is literally pouring and the other two workers are still just watching this guy cook two sandwiches on the grill while more than a dozen people are getting soaked. The guy taking orders says "You can wait in your cars but we don't have any way to text you when your food is ready, sorry" The entire festival has broken down their tents, other food trucks have given out all their food and are leaving and the wind and lightning start to pick up. I tried to yell at the guy running the window over the noise of the storm to see if my wife and I could get a refund. Lighting struck a bit too close for comfort and I decided a $20 grilled cheese wasn't worth dying for and we bolted to our car and left. No clue if anyone else waited for their food but needless to say I'll never eat at cheesin and I'll warn everyone that I know to avoid it like the plague.
Very very slow on their orders but decent food.
Friendly service and very flavorful food!
