I last attended CHS about 16 years ago. The negative and positive things that people are saying about CHS could be accepted as true. As far as concerning the curriculum and the opportunity a student has at CHS the school is 5 stars. All of the negative things people have complained about were present when I attend

Great staff, the diversity of students contribute to the knowledge of the school by bringing new ideas or events that aren't in a text book.

This schools is not up to usual standard for an appropriate environment for teenagers to be learning. This school along with most of the district, has a promise that this is a safe and friendly environment for students where bullying and harassment is not tolerated. Yet, it is seen all around the building, while the administrators do nothing. There is also a strange sense of prejudice which is surprising at a school where culture and ethnicity is so different and diverse. There is also an over exaggeration on punishments here. Being late will cost a 15-60 minute detention. There is also a strange rule of no outside drinks, which i can't seem to understand, since most students are using coffee and other products as their breakfast, if you are caught with one it is an hour of detention. If you are caught with headphones not even being used, it is 30 min. and if you are caught with a phone again not being used, it is taken away and it will cost a one hour detention.
