Story

Chepachet Free Will Baptist Church is a Christ-centered, non-denominatinal Church located in the heart of historic Chepachet, RI. The Chepachet Meeting House, in which the Chepachet Free Will Baptist Church holds Sunday services, was built in 1821. The corporation known as "The Proprietors of the Chepachet Meeting House," who own the building, was first organized by 36 subscribers, who initially pledged a total of $1135.50 to a fund created "for the purpose of building an house for the publick worship of God to be erected at the village of Chepachet."

Mission

We've committed as a church to a two-fold focus: personal spiritual formation and church growth. We especially desire to grow by sharing the gospel; by welcoming seekers and new believers into a community committed to loving God and one another. To facilitate this vision we first need a foundation of committed disciples called and eager to be a part of an exciting and challenging ministry opportunity. Though we're historically traditional and will remain sensitive to our roots, we are open to the Spirit moving us and adapting us to the times and the community.
