I have a serious bowel disease called Ulcerative Colitis (UC) and when I was there I had the sudden urge to use the bathroom. The woman behind the counter would not allow me to use the bathroom and told me to drive down the road to Dunkin Donuts. They may have good pastries but I'm sorry to say they are not nice people. In reverse roles I would have let the woman use the bathroom if she told me she had a serious medical condition.

So my boyfriend found this place with his mom a few months ago and he loved it, yesterday he was excited to take me there to get coffee and apple turnovers. 
Upon arriving I grabbed a coffee, and then my boyfriend who has severe ulcerative colitis got a stomach pain and needed to use the restroom, which he was denied.
For those of you who don't know, ulcerative colitis (similar to Chron's disease) causes you to have diarrhea, but not only that, it requires you to instantly be near a toilet otherwise you will deficate in your pants. So as if it's not embarrassing enough having to go up to the woman and ask to use the bathroom then explain your condition, it's even more humiliating when they say "no, it's a private bathroom" and you have to drive down the road to Dunkin Donuts to use the bathroom.
And since I had poured a coffee and clearly was a customer I stayed there and waited for him to come back, and we still made our purchase although we shouldn't have.

Connecticut is a state that recognizes ally's law. Please look it up and try to understand why we are upset. 

The cider donut and the apple turnover were delicious, but the experience was still a dissapointment.

i was there when all this happened.  cheri was nothing but polite. there is 1 store employee bathroom which is behind all the food counters in back., and a sign on the door which states no public bathroom.  they have blown this whole issue way out of porportion, part of the problem with social media
