This place is really beautiful. They have a gift shop & an information desk. They also have a tag agency. The people are always very polite & work hard to get you in & out as fast as possible.

As happy as I am that we have a place closer to Tulsa to get tags. The wait time is horrible. On this day it took 1 hr 45 min to get my tags. It's been a year now and they still have a sign in the window saying due to short hand on employees we will be closing early. There is normally 2-3 girls there and walking out to the cars it takes forever I feel bad for them. Get them some help please.

The service is great. There can be a long line. But what do you expect. When a large amount of people show up to a place at the same time, its going to take some time. As long as you know how to act like an adult, you will be just fine!

This is a great welcome center. They have information about all of Oklahoma all organized by region so it's easy to find something specific. There is also a gift store with Oklahoma, Route 66 and Cherokee souvenirs.

FYI The Gift Shop is open 9 AM to 5 PM every day and normally the only differences are major holidays such as Christmas and New Years; The Tag Agency is only open M- F, they normally have the same holiday closings as a bank does, they usually begin seeing people at 8:15 AM, they close AT 4 PM. However, if they can, they will try to see whoever's already ON the digital sign in (located inside the tag agency) until 4:15 PM. They normally NEVER see anyone after 4:15 PM. They try to make an announcement right around 4 PM for who will be their last customer of the day. The tag agency only calls people by name out loud about 3 times and you should respond quickly otherwise they will move on to the next person. Also a tip for the public: this is not a great place for small children who can not busy themselves for a long period of time. There is usually a wait so be prepared to expect to be there a while. The employees for the tag agency are a different entity then the gift shop on location. Although they share the building, the gift shop employees do not have much information about the tag agency. If you have questions the tag agency DOES NOT have a phone there that the gift shop can transfer you to. The best place to contact for information about this tag agency is to call the Tahlequah Tag Agency office. They have access to information you may need.
