For what little they have to work with, it's not bad, but expect it to be busy inside (especially the restrooms). I do not recommend the mini-mart unless you are desperate. It's not exactly the most affordable place.
You can purchase bus passes here; daily, monthly, or annual. Prices are reasonable, and varies what age you are. Small children and seniors get a discount.
If you're looking for weekend or holiday travel, you're out of luck. Busses start running from around 6 AM, and the last ones depart 8-9 PM (depending on the bus). Maps and schedules can be found inside or the official website. As goes for the information I provided above, plus more.

I think the drivers are professional and practice good customer service.  Knowledgeable about the routes and other routes if you have questions. 
I look forward to Cherriots continuing to grow. Also, I've enjoyed some good conversations with patrons and even made some friends on Cherriots.

Excellent bus system. Only faults are no night or weekend service. All buses are A.D.A. compliant with wheelchair ramps. Day passes and monthly passes available.

Great customer service. Friendly. Some drivers are really rude but most are nice.

For the last 4 years I have ridden the bus and I has lots of different buses that go in different areas of Salem, Keizer,West Salem, South Salem, and Northeast Salem. 
Hopefully soon cherriots will have Saturday buses. I love riding the bus to school. No one bothers you as your riding. Thank you
