This business clearly has difficulty with basic communication, according both to my experience and other reviewers.

My wife and I sought them out because my tax situation was becoming very complex - just completed grad school, beginning a federal stipend, moving overseas, getting married, etc. etc. So I wanted professional advice. So first, we had a detailed, very friendly sit-down with Meredith (the lead CPA) and another employee to lay all of this out for them. We left this meeting feeling great. They claimed that they liked the challenge of figuring out how to navigate everything for us, so we felt great to have them in our corner.

Then came weeks and weeks of radio silence. We never received any answers from them, and seldom a simple email reply. Months later came a generic group email with fee information and what to send in for the upcoming tax season. Of course by that point we already knew not to waste our time with them.

So radio silence was their way of saying "IDK or "I don't want to deal with your case." To the business: fair enough if that's your decision - it's your liberty - but swallow your pride and be upfront with the hopeful customer. You'll ultimately save face by avoiding very unhappy would-be-customers in this age of Yelp and Google.

Cherry Street Accountants are super helpful and nice. Great staff, Clarice in particular is amazing! Highly recommend this place!

I am only giving one star because zero isn't an option.  This was absolutely the worst experience I have ever had working with someone who is supposed to be a professional.  She was hoping to have my taxes done in two weeks – they ended up taking 16.  An error on my 2014 taxes (made by someone else) led to a letter from the IRS.  She said she would address it.  Not only did she not do that, she also made the same error and now I have to refile both years.  Communication was extremely poor.  She was nearly impossible to get on the phone, and messages were almost never returned.  Email was not any better.  Atrocious communication, work finished extremely late (or not at all), and errors were made.  Doing your taxes yourself is a better option, even if you’ve never done them before.

I met with Meredith to discuss some tax options for my business. She was very knowledgeable and gave me very good advice. Very satisfied!
