want to talk about an incident that happened at this gas station to me and my family this past Sunday, October 8th. I arrived at the gas station and was ready to fill up when I noticed the card reader was not accepting any of my cards and merely said "Please see cashier". I tried several pumps and not one would read my card. This was inconvenient but I headed inside to pay for my gas. As I was walking toward the door, my autistic son asked if I could take him to the restroom so I walked him in. As I walked towards the bathroom I noticed a man going in to use the men's restroom and I got worried. The problem is my autistic son is also diabetic and he needs to use the restroom as quickly as possible for obvious reasons. I noticed that both the restrooms were single person restrooms and that the women's restroom was not being used and unlocked. I obviously did not want my son to urinate in his pants so I quickly led him in and locked the door behind me. A couple of minutes passed and I heard really loud banging from the outside of the door. I have a policy of "if I'm in the middle of using the bathroom and it's public, people can wait" so I did not answer. I then heard even louder knocking almost as if someone wanted to break the door open, it was exaggerated to say the least. As my son was washing his hands and finishing up I opened the door frustrated from the constant bombarding of knocking and said "What do you want?". One of the employees had been knocking and said, "You know you're using the women's restroom?" "I don't care I said, my autistic son had to use the bathroom and this was opened and the men's was not. This was an emergency." "Yeah but it's the women's restroom." the employee said with a tone. "I don't care, what part of it was an emergency do you not understand." At this point the employee said I was acting too rude and kicked me out, which I was already at the point of leaving. Keep in mind that once again this was a single person restroom and no matter if there's a diamond shape, a circle shape, or the shape of a star hanging from the bathroom door, a restroom is a restroom. It does not magically change based on your sex or reject you from sitting because of what you have in your pants. I can understand if this was a multi-person restroom with many stalls as anyone can come in and it would be obviously uncomfortable but this was, once again, a single restroom. There was no need to get this upset about someone else using it of the opposite sex. When I went back to my car to take off, I noticed the employee running out of the store and trying to take a picture of my license plate, which they successfully did. I was upset at how exaggerated this was and stepped out. "Do you want my name too?", I asked. The employee said that yes she wanted my name and was handing me a form to sign. I promptly said "You're crazy..." laughed, and walked back into my car. This incident was not only unnecessary, it evolved into a level of exaggeration that goes beyond logic. I will never visit this gas station again and urge anyone to use a different one as well.

Usually poor or rude service, plus a triple redundant ID check policy that includes visual inspection, electronic swipe, AND making a hand written record of ID information and purchase info. Do not go here.
