VERY UNHAPPY CUSTOMER***** I tried to find a hair salon close to my house for my wedding. I came upon Chez Lorraine salon. Lorraine was pleasent on the phone. She told me a price for me which would be $50-60 for a bridal updo. I thought that was very reasonable considering most places do charge that. Looking back I should of had a friend just do it. I was pleased with the hair. The end result had me speechless, and VERY LIVID! I think it is sick that I was charged almost $200 for my updo alone. My sister was also overcharged so of course she didn't have enough money. I ended up having to pay for both. It came to $270 for 2 updos on my wedding day!!!!! WHAT A RIP OFF and WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS LADY????!!!!! Lorraine was sweet as pie until it came time towards the end of the hairstyling and to pay.. She originally told me $50 for my updo and the bridesmaids would have to pay $20-$25. She charged the bridesmaids $70and up for updos!!!!! All bridesmaids had the same lame hairstyle and were all charged different amounts. When we left we were all in disgust and horrified. Me being the bride was sickened by what this lady pulled at the register. When I questioned her about the prices she gave such an attitude, when it was obvious she was ripping us off, and lied to all of us. Mine was a decent hairstyle but not for the price. Instead of charging me $50 she charged $200 just for me!!! SICK and DISGUSTING!! I will NEVER EVER GO BACK THERE&WARNED everybody i know that she rips people off. How sad but I didn't let it ruin my big day. Everybody should watch out for businesses like that.

BEAUTIFUL SALON! REASONABLE PRICES! GREAT EXPERIENCE! I recently moved to the Buffalo area and was in desperate need of a new hair salon! I saw a Chez Lorraine Hair Salon brochure at the local gym and thought I would give it a try! Lorraine was so pleasant and gave me a whole new look! She suggested I highlight my hair with great new colors and gave me a fresh new haircut! I am going back next week for a pedicure and facial!

I absolutely loved the up-do that Lorraine did for me for my wedding. Every girl dreams of her own perfect fairytale wedding, but when it comes down to it, no details are as important on that day as YOUR OWN hair and makeup. Lorraine did exactly what I wanted for me and my bridesmaids. She made all of us look so beautiful. Not only was my up do amazing, but the makeup application made me look flawless in all of my pictures. I bought a few products to touch up with during the day, but I barely had to apply it. My hair and makeup lasted me all day and I could not thank Lorraine and the girls at Chez Lorraine enough. I will recommend this salon to everyone!

My wife is definately a hard woman to please but loves being pampered at salons and day spas. I drive by Chez Lorraine almost everyday going to work and it always looks very clean and nice in front of the salon. I decided to get a gift certificate for my wife for her birthday. When my wife came home after a day at the spa, she could not stop talking about how beautifully decorated and pleasant it was at Chez Lorraine. She got a manicure, pedicure, massage and haircut. She loved all of the services and thought the girls were especially pleasant.

OVERPRICED UPDO'S!!!! On the day of my friends wedding the bridal party went to Chez Lorraine for all of us to have updo's done. Some girls were getting their makeup done as well. We arrived at 6am because we were a larger bridal party and needed plenty of time for all of us to get our hair done. Lorraine, the owner, had set up a table with strawberries, cookies, juice, and punch for us to enjoy while we spent our morning there. I was the first one to sit in a chair, and Lorraine, went right to work with her curling iron and pinning my hair up. The updo came out beautiful and she had me done in about 20 minutes-which personally I was impressed! Other girls began getting their hair done, all of them either had gotten their hair set in curlers or dried since several girls still had damp hair from showering the day before. Our visit was extremely pleasant and things were going very well until the end when it was time to cash out. Lorraine charged each girl $95 for her updo. 95 DOLLARS!!!!!!! This was the 7th wedding I have been a bridesmaid and have had a similar updo in all of them...NEVER EVER have I spent more than $60 on an updo!!!!! Just a few days before the wedding, the bride and Lorraine had been text messaging each other and in the message Lorraine stated that updo's start at $30 and makeup would be around $15. The bride went up to Lorraine at cash out time and said to her you told me updo's were $30 and up, Lorraine responded "Yep, $30 and up" in a snide attitude. The bride asked what do you get for $30 and Lorraine responded that is what a prom updo costs (what is the difference between a prom updo and bridesmaid updo??) The bride explained to her that she didn't know it was going to be $95 for each girl and that several of the bridesmaids only brought $60 with them. Lorraine said "well they could mail the difference". One girl was $3 short(mind you the credit card machine "wasn't working"), but Lorraine was so kind and said she could mail her the $3 (REALLY?!?!?!?!!?! 3 DOLLARS?!?!?!). There was a 12 year old jr. bridesmaid in the group, her up do cost $95 as well. Now I could understand that if the hair was difficult to work with, yea you could charge more for that-but mine took 20 minutes to put up. For the 2 girls who had their makeup done, it ended up costing them $35 each, althought I know that is the average cost to have makeup done it was clearly not around $15 like she had said. At the time I was ready to lash out and let it all out on the floor, but to avoid making matters worse, I just sat back. Unfortunately the Bride was a crying mess the whole way back to her parents house. She felt terrible that it ended up costing that much and her husband felt awful too especially when they had spoke to her previously about possibly paying for the updo's themselves as a gift for the girls and during those conversations Lorraine had assure they would work something out. I am still baffled at the fact that I paid $95 but at this point do not care about the money. It was more about the way Lorraine behaved at the end of our time spent at the salon. She was unprofessional and her true colors were shining straight through. Again, my updo was great(not worth $95 by a longshot) but I wouldn't trust this place of business if someone paid me to after the experience the bridal party had there. Oh and 4 of the girls in the bridal party, including myself, are engaged and planning weddings for next year-you would think she would want to make a good impression and have repeat business....nope!
