Love this the Chicago Hot Dogs. Ive been a customer for over 10 years. Used to be located on Prospect but have a new place on Graves St. Next to the DMV. Delicious Chicago style deep-dish pizza! It takes almost an hour to bake one of these amazing pizza pies, so we called our order in. They texted me once the pizza was about 10 minutes from being done which had us there just in time to sit down and enjoy this marvelous pizza and crispy mozzarella sticks straight out of the oven!
My absolute favorite pizza place! I love the new location! It has tons of seating, and a very romantic atmosphere, but also great for meeting a friend for a bite to eat! Great tasting pizza, salad, and desert! One day I will venture away from my signature pizza, and salad with pickles and try something new!
Just finished the Italian beef sandwich w/ everything on it, and man, I have to say it was damned good! Will absolutely be getting it again. Sweet, spicy, soggy, and hugely beefy! Don't expect to be prim and proper, dig in and have fun. Also the deep dish pizza is some of the best I've had anywhere in the US. TRY THE SAUSAGE!
Real deal pizza and sandwiches. My advise is to order ahead and pick up. I have only ordered in or ordered to go and it takes a little time either way. They have never disappointed with quality or flavor. Thin crust is our fav but we will do deep dish sometimes. Salads are fresh and sides are poppin.
Not what ot used to be. We have been coming to this place for 10 years and I've always loved the food. Being from Chicago, this was one of the places in San Diego that was authentic. Not anymore. No poppy seed bun, not Vienna hot dogs, the pizza wasn't good and the Italian beef was meh. Idk if the original owner sold it or what happened, but it's definitely not Chicago style anything.
We ordered a 10" deep dish pizza, it was the worst experience ever. First off it took over an hour and arrived cold. The sauce has this weird taste to it, the cheese didn't taste like mozzarella. We ordered feta and bacon on it and it was practically non existent. The crust was very doughy. We won't be buying from this place ever again, definitely not worth the price.
Stopped by here while on vacation in the area. Amazing food and great prices. Perfect sized portions, you are sure to be full. If you like italian food, I recommend checking it out, it was delicious!
Pizza was damn good. Thick crust with good amount of sauce, cheese and toppings. I'll definitely be back!
We’ve been coming here for the fifteen years it’s been in town. It’s so delicious and so authentic. My husband is from Chicago. He brought me back there a few times and we tried the deep dish there and the Italian beef sandwich. They were barely mediocre in Chicago. At least the touristy places that we went to in town. The food here is just phenomenal and their new location is so nice plenty of seating, comfortable seating, great service. Worth every penny. If you want truly authentic and truly delicious Chicago style food this is where you should go. This is a gem in Santee and we are so lucky to have this place.
