About

The mission of The Children's Museum of the Brazos Valley is to provide a child-centered, interactive environment for learning and discovery.

Story

The Museum, first opened in 1998, now serves over 36,000 visitors each year. Exhibits such as the Rocket Ship, Georgie's Lily Pad, H-E-B Kids' Market, the Illumination Station and the Family Pet Center, keep your child actively engage in learning through play and help us fulfill our mission to provide a child-centered interactive environment for learning and discovery.

The board and staff of the museum are committed to providing interactive exhibits and educational programs that challenge our youth to ask questions and fully engage their minds in the learning process. We continue to build and develop strong collaborations with local school districts, Texas A&M University, and many community service organizations that are committed to enriching the lives of children and families of the Brazos Valley.

We like to take our family here regularly. Just wish that they had more exhibits like in Austin or houston

It is a decent place to be inside and allow your child to run wild. Seriously, most of the children bounce back and forth from one thing to another and don't put anything back in its place. Most of the exhibits are missing most of their components and everything is askew. A lot of the items are in disrepair. For the cost, I think this place would be better taken care of and tended to.... My seven year old son loves it though so we'll return much to my disdain. Price should be less for what it is and it makes no sense to charge admission for parents when the only entertainment for adults are the phones they brought with them. The only reason I give two stars is because it is inside and air conditioned.

I love how the place is open and you can clearly see the entrance/exit doors. The sections are great for all ages.
