China Express in Sylmar is I order chow mein, Orange Chicken , beef and broccoli. The chow main was all chopped up not one whole noddle and it tasted stale. The Orange Chicken was over cooked crunchy and didn’t taste like orange chicken. Finally the beef and broccoli was over powered with salt. I called the restaurant to inform them and all they told me was everything is made fresh and they will look into it. I throw my food straight in the trash and went to the China Express is Santa Clarita!!! you will not be disappointed its fresh and the orange chicken is delicious! check the reviews.
One of the more homely places to buy Chinese food. Jennifer, the one who serves is a very kind and very friendly person. Stop on by and satisfy your Chinese food craving.Food: 5/5
I had a very bad experience with this place nothing personal. Just I ordered my food plate through Ubereats and I was hungry when I tried the food tasted like fish there was not a single item that should have tasted or smelled like fish it’s a disgrace. No more orders from them.
Ordered Shrimp fried rice. Dumplings, and egg drop soup. Egg drop soup was not thoroughly detailed at all when I called the place, the person who told me that the soup was “hard to describe” and only was “made for order”. He did not tell me the consistency nor the texture of the egg drop soup. When I asked about texture of the soup on whether if it’s thick traditionally it is thick, flavorful, and fragrance or is it watery, the response was “soup-like” in this case, watery and can be compared to a normal soup. Answers were not clear at all. The soup was watery, bland, and inconsistent, with the inconsistency that can be compared to a boba drink with boba at the bottom, in this case, the peas were the boba. The place also charges you for wonton crispy crackers separately for soups that does not even meet the traditional Chinese cuisine standards, under average to further express. A disappointment for $11.00. The shrimp fried rice was decent, good amount of shrimps was added but the rice seems to be stale and oily at the bottom. This specific order seems to look as if it were mechanically assembled with shrimp being added to the top cooked separately or added from a separate container that was filled with shrimp and not actually cooked together. In other words, the “shrimp fried rice” seems like they just added shrimp to the top of a container of “fried rice” and then call it “shrimp fried rice” shrimp fried rice seems to not appear to be cooked with the fried rice. Dumplings seems to be adequate, there was a nice crispy outer layer at the bottom of the dumplings and moist inner filling. This order seems to retain the intended recipe and the traditional steps.
I ordered War Wonton soup to take out for my friend. They made it fresh for her. It was delicious and hot. My friend loved it.Food: 5/5
I love this place. I've been eating here for years, and it's one of my favorite steam tray Chinese places in the entire LA area.Food: 5/5
Best Gourmet Chinese fast food in So Cal! Trust me I've looked everywhere. The orange chicken has had me around for over a decade
This was my first order and over order was $18 very shame of this restaurant how they treat a customer. Never Ordering from this place’s.
Really bad experience, this people just goes after the money they don't care about the customers today 2/06/22 at 12:40 to have lunch with my wife and two kids we ordered three plates with two topics, we asked the food, I asked the lady for for a empty plate, she refused to give me one, she said that if I want empty plate a fork we have to pay for it, so I got charged for it and still she was kind of refusing it. The food was not good, I totally don't recommend and I won't coming back.
I’ve been coming here for years but the last few times the service hasn’t been the same. I orders combo b with noodles and two items which cost more. Then asked for a side of shrimp and a side of dumplings. They said they’d have it ready in a few minutes when I got the order I didn’t have the shrimp I ordered or the orange chicken that I asked for and I paid extra for. I told them about it but they kept denying it and it was lunch hour so I didn’t wanna bother anymore. Make sure to check your order before leaving!
