Saw this place when stopping by at the Subway 2 doors down. We are fairly new to the area, and I told my wife about it. She stopped in last night for carry out. The food she brought home was amazing! She went on & on about how they were so nice and accommodating. It was close to closing, so they were out of a few items. They literally sent her home with a feast! Whole slab of ribs, barbecue chicken, catfish, fries, mac & cheese, and coleslaw. Everything was amazing...!!! I see the bad reviews on here, but everything was excellent for us. We will definitely order again. I have had lots of Southern cooking, and this did not disappoint!  Kid-friendliness: You will not find more friendly people anywhere!

Came in for lunch at 1:30 PM and was greeted by Charlene who was pleasant. I ordered the fried wing dinner with Mac and cheese and green beans, as well as peach cobbler for dessert. Meal came out in 25 minutes and was hot and fresh. The green beans were well-seasoned, as well as the Mac and cheese. I prefer a creamy Mac and cheese as theirs is more liquidy...so something to note.  The peach cobbler was spiced nicely with the perfect ratio of peach to crust. I originally wanted caramel cake but Charlene discouraged it as she didn't like the look of it. I really appreciated her honesty instead of just saying "it's good" in order to make a sale.  I look forward to coming back!

Called ahead for cod and catfish with sides for my family. Everyone loved both fish, and the greens are to die for! Can't wait to try something different next time. These people are so nice and friendly. Definitely recommend!

Everything was good. Smothered pork chops. Collard greens. Sweet potatoes were awesome. My son had fish and ribs and he said the fish was fried to perfection and the ribs were tender and juicy. I'll take pics next time

Boiled & undercooked by several hours with cold bbq sauce poured on a full slab of ribs. Ordered at 7pm picked up at 730 was rushed out by workers who wanted to leave early. I see them smoking meats all day outside but I got boiled non smoked gross fatty ribs. Mac and cheese was super mushy and completely bland. Mashed potatoes tasted no better than boxed and cant say on the corn bread since I paid for it and didnt get it. Worst BBQ place around, and this is not the first time I have gotten this sub par type of service from Chips. Food is too expensive to throw away, I will drive farther to a bbq joint that cares if their customers get good food

Woods didn’t answer this Sunday and we wanted catfish so I came here. They were busy and said 15min and it was ready in 15min. The Mac and cheese was flavorful but runny, the greens had a bite too them and could have benefited from being cooked longer with more seasoning, the catfish had tough skin. It was all edible but I probably won’t return

I was so disappointed in the German chocolate cake I ordered for my grandma’s birthday because the cake was too dry but the icing was good.

Today while deciding on a place to eat my girlfriend mentioned she wanted shrimp so after a search on google we ended up choosing this place and boy are we glad we did. I haven't been to a restaurant that made me feel that at home in a long time. Absolutely lovely staff and everything you'd expect from a local shop. Lets start with the food we tried. We ordered "Just Shrimp" and Rib Tips to start and then to finish off our meal we got strawberry cake and a fresh peach cobbler brought right from the back. I'll start with the Cobbler and say I'll be back for more. Jesus that was absolutely delicious. a Wonderful blend of spices while not being to sweet god I'm regretting only have gotten one typing this. Strawberry cake was delicious but i cant lie that wasn't my dessert so i only had a small taste and I let my girlfriend indulge in one of her new favorites. Rib tips were absolutely incredible and served in a healthy portion along with the sides we got sweet potato and coleslaw. I can't lie I went with safer sides not knowing what I was walking into but they nailed those too. Simple and delicious. The Shrimp were fried perfectly and seasoned. The look of absolute joy that came over me when I had one of those shrimps and realized it was salted well and not over battered along with a healthy size shrimp was one for the books. Having come from south Florida a while back it has honestly been 2 years since I had great shrimp and you guys nailed that too. I wish I would've taken the time to get everyone's name but I'm sure ill see all those wonderful smile again! Absolutely looking forward to the next time because I'm coming for the Smothered Pork Chop and that phenomenal banana budding  thing you allowed me to sample! Thank you for a wonderful dinner and great experience I feel so many places have gotten away from.

Sides were trash ribs taste horrible no smoke or real bbq taste they must be baked or something never going back

Just got my first meal from you.  Delicious!  The shrimp chicken and ribs are perfect. I am thoroughly enjoying every bite!
