I am living for the time being at the Best Value Inn & Suites on I-55 service road and just received an unexpected blessing: One of your fruit and snack bags! This act of kindness is the true meaning of Christian love an generosity. I am an Episcopalian attending St. Alexis downtown, but was a member of First UMC in Poplarville before coming to Jackson so I have history with the "Mighty Methodists." My time there was extremely positive and my view of Methodists as true servants of Christ continues today thanks to you. Thank you for thinking of us and I would like to offer you one suggestion: Put your address, service times, phone number, and website on the enclosed note and welcome folks to worship with you. As for me, I might just skip a Sunday at St. Alexis to come meet you! I also ask that you pray for and continue to reach out to the "marginalized" and "outcasts" among us. Pray for and extend a hand to those that do not have a room to stay in and those dealing with substance abuse, psychiatric disorders, phyisical health problems, financial problems, hunger, or any other need. I consider myself fortunate to have been introduced to Christ as a child and to have made it back to church after spending years in the desert. But many in our community do not know Christ and I'm certain they would appreciate an invitation to worship with you. Thanks again and I'll close with a quote from John Wesley concerning giving: "Do you not know that God entrusted you with that money (all above what buys necessities for your families) to feed the hungry, to clothe the naked, to help the stranger, the widow, the fatherless; and, indeed, as far as it will go, to relieve the wants of all mankind? How can you, how dare you, defraud the Lord, by applying it to any other purpose." That's a bit harsh but Brother Wesley did not mince words! Thanks again!

I have worship with Christ UM Church for the last 4 Sunday's I was pleasantly surprised with the warmth and friendliness Everyone seem so nice and made me feel very comfortable I volunteered and help pack the food my second Sunday there For 2 hours afterwards enjoyed lunch and outside service I also was invited to UM Women's meeting and Cindy offered me Transporation if I needed it and dropped me off after the meeting Easter Sunday was a beautiful service and very moving I plan to to fellowship with Christ UM again next Sunday a beautiful Churh and beautiful Christian people

Just went through the Live Nativity and it was a great experience with live animals and friendly Christ centered faces!
