Great guy! He might talk fast, but it is only because he is passionate and wanted me to understand everything, so I was able to make a good decision.  I found him fair, reasonable and honest about his fees, a divorce is never cheap. I definitely would refer him to my friends and families.

Christian is professional, eloquent, and empathetic. He will stop at nothing to fight for your well-being and the well-being of your family in your time of need.  Would definitely recommend to friends looking for a divorce/family affairs attorney!

I retained Chris 4/1/2015 for a child custody matter. Despite my constant requests that he stop settlement attempts with opposing counsel and request a court date, Chris allowed the matter to drag on for nearly two years. He didn’t even start preparing a case until 12/19/2016 – the day before trial! I was not at all surprised that he failed to legally prove the required substantial change in circumstances – especially after realizing he had not even reviewed current relevant case law. However, claiming a “medical emergency” to avoid speaking with me after the judge’s order was issued, and then failing to contact me since to finish the case (issue of attorney’s fees has not yet been heard) has absolutely confirmed to me what an incompetent attorney he is.

I was extremely disappointed with attorney Christian Smed. He sounded professional and competent, but he turned out to be more academic than practical. He quit the day before a hearing because he was not convinced we could win.

I used this law firm in 2016 for my divorce process.  Christian is a very nice man and very professional. After six months and over $10,000 in legal fees, this lawyer had essentially done nothing for me. Does lawyers modus operandi seems to be to extend the process as long as possible to earn as much money for them as possible. I would definitely not recommend this lawyer.
