Pastor Donald Outterbridge, Sr. has a vision for CFEC to be an oasis where those who are hurting can find God's love and acceptance through His people.
Donald Outterbridge is the Founder and Senior Pastor of Christian Fellowship Evangelistic Church, Inc., serving since 1984. Pastor "O," as he is often referred to, has been saved and in active Christian service since 1961, has been preaching since 1972 and has been involved in pastoral ministry since 1974. His education includes studies at Manna Bible Institute and the Center of Urban Theological Studies, a school associated with Geneva College and the Westminster Theological Seminary. He has also participated in various Continuing Education courses.
Pastor O has a heart for God and, through the ministry of CFEC, is committed to preaching, teaching, impacting and empowering this present age with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. CFEC's philosophy is based on "The Four M's Ministry" - Men, Marriages (including pre-marital/dating), Ministers, and Managers (Leadership Development). Our desire is that both church and society be renewed, refreshed and revitalized by the transforming power of God's Word. The Word is preached that God might be glorified, the glorious light of the Gospel might win sinners, and the people of God might be brought to maturation in the faith.
CFEC is committed to serving the people of our community. Our vision is that Christian Fellowship be an oasis where the hurting, the depressed, the frustrated and the confused can find love, acceptance, help, hope, healing, forgiveness, guidance and encouragement. To carry out this vision, Pastor O’s leadership has directed the church to provide low-cost childcare services, free resume preparation, job interview training, after-school tutoring and Life Skills/Activities of Daily Living classes for our neighbors. For Thanksgiving, we feed residents of area shelters and the community. During the Christmas season, we carol at nursing homes and donate clothing and toys to shelter residents. Each summer, we have Community Day, where food and clothing are given away, activities for children are made available, free health screenings are conducted and entertainment is provided. All of this occurs to fulfill the vision of our church.
