Story

Christian Montessori School of Lake Norman provides Christian Montessori classrooms for infants and toddlers (6 weeks- 36 months), and pre-school (3-5 year olds) and is located in Huntersville, North Carolina. We celebrate our status as the only 5- Star rated Christian Montessori daycare in Mecklenburg County and greater Charlotte area!

Great school that offers a safe, Christian learning environment, teaching in the true Montessori way. The teachers offer a nurturing environment and the kids in the classroom are like family with one another. There is great cultural diversity among the students, as well as the staff.  Both of my children have attended Christian Montessori School going for the last 8 years and would highly recommend it to others. The location is great and the learning environment is customized to align with your child. I highly encourage visiting the school to see the kids in their classroom environment first hand!

This school is wonderful. The feel of this place is that of a school and not of a day care. The teachers are all AMA certified and you can tell they love their students and the school family itself. Highly recommended. I'm really impressed with how my toddler has responded to the Montessori environment here.

LOVE this school. My son has been in the toddler program for a year and has done so well. His verbal skills have  developed so well and his abilities to do things on his own (put his shoes and socks on, potty training, communicating with his peers) are directly related to him attending this school. We love the teachers here!

All 3 of my kids are here because of the great teachers who care about my kids.  Admin too, you can just tell they love the kids.  So important.

Horrible communication.
We have friends who's kids attend the school so we thought it would be a good place to use. Our first experience was with trying to talk to someone both on the phone and through email to try and schedule a tour. Having no success getting someone to call or email us back we drove by the school and talked to someone (don't know her name - light skinned woman, my friends said was probably Sonya Curry the owner) whom I informed that I was trying to schedule a tour since the regular tour times were not the best times for us. She seemed lost at what I was trying to accomplish and handed me a packet. We ended up going to the regularly scheduled tour and the inquired about openings in the dates we needed. They told us that they did in fact have openings so we filled out the application and turned it in. When we called to follow up about ensuring our spot they informed us that they didn't have anything available until July 2017 which was a full 6 months past the original dates they had told us were available. I'm not sure why it is so hard for them to communicate but I would not feel comfortable having my child there.

Another thing is the requirement to do 20 hours community service at the school doing stuff like landscaping or cleaning. It seems a bit absurd to require the parents that pay for their kids to attend to also "work" at the school.
