I was so happy with my experience at Christus Spohn Hospital in Kingsville, Texas. I just had my baby there on Tuesday September 26th. My doctor and hospital were originally in Alice, Texas. However because of some staff changes, I ended up having my L&D in Kingsville. The day I went into labor, I had not ever been to Christus Spohn Kingsville. The hospital and staff were completely unfamiliar to me, but from the moment I registered through the whole week I was there, I was well taken care of. 

For the first three days I was there my nurses Cathy and Lorraine made sure that I had everything I needed to be comfortable and go through my labor successfully. Despite being very busy, they were so kind  and patient helping me through the most painful parts of my labor. They shared in several happy moments with my fiance and I as we brought our little baby girl into the world. I remember being about to deliver and my baby's umbilical chord was wrapped around her throat. Lorraine and Dr. Adhyaru helped me feel empowered and ensured me that I was doing a great job giving birth. 

Dr. Harsh Adhyaru was very professional and thorough, making sure I felt well informed throughout my L&D while guiding me through all the decisions I would have to make for myself and my daughter. He never rushed me and always allowed me to have complete control over every stage of my childbirth. 

During my difficult recovery, Cathy, Lorraine, and Kimberly helped me take such good care of myself and my new baby. I learned so much about being a new mom from these awesome nurses and left the hospital feeling confident and off to a great start in motherhood.

Beware this is the wost hospotal in Texas. My father had blood taken out six times. They were not able to test correctly. He was there for 10 hours with out eating. These people don' t care about their patients.

There are no words to describe how awful this hospital is, by far the worse I've ever been too, I'm military and have moved around the country for 8 years, sad to say that this was a horrible experience. Over 7 hours of waiting and still haven't been seen, everyone is pretty nonchalant and really have a I don't care attitude since this is the only hospital in the area. I had to just leave to drive all the way to corpus at 11:30 at night just to go to another emergency, not to mention I have my 14 month old. Only one doctor on duty and no nurse practitioner!!

I would suggest using a different Hospital if at all possible.  After taking a multitude of tests my daughter was diagnosed with acute sinusitis. My insurance company was billed over $6,500.  My portion was about $1,500.  These same tests and doctor's fee cost me about $200 at my doctors office.  When I called about the bill being so high all they could say was.....we'll she did come to the emergency room...we can make no adjustments to the bill. A doctor (which she never saw) should be able to determine sinusitis without this type of costs.  Time in emergency room about 10 minutes to see a PA or it could have been a nurse (not a doctor).  Time waiting for results - 5 hours in the waiting room.

Avoid this hospital at all costs!!  Terrible medical care; should be shut down.
