This was a fantastic place to dine. I recently acquired property in the area so I figured I’d check out the restaurants in the area. I always order a Burrito when I visit a establishment that serves Mexican cuisine as it’s typically the staple and a good standard to judge most places. I chose the Fajita Chicken Burrito. It was absolutely amazing. I couldn’t even finish the entire thing it was so big. Will definitely be returning here to eat next time I’m in the mood for Mexican.
The only good thing about the place is the decoration and alcoholic beverages. Service was fine. The rice and beans tasted like pre-packed and reheated, the tacos were ok but lacked flavor. You are better off going to Tijuana Flats, Agave Azul, or Don Julio’s for more spicy TexMex food.
Consistent and clean, good tex mex good. I especially like their Boom Boom sauce. My dad loves their tortilla soup. Very nice and professional servers. Kid-friendliness: Very affordable kids menu!
Personally, I had a great experience for my first time at a Chuy’s. In the spirit of Cinco de Mayo I decided to treat myself. The location I went to would close in less than an hour of me arriving there. I was still greeted with a smile and given a spot on the waiting list to be seated. My wait wasn’t long and I’ve seated I was greeted by a friendly and helpful waitress. She brought me some chips and dips. The salsa was included but the queso was an additional $5. I ordered a fajita beef burrito topped with the Boom-Boom sauce and a blackberry margarita. Imagine my surprise when I was presented with a burrito that was nearly the size of the plate it was served on and my drink served in a souvenir cup. The burrito was easily enough to share with someone or to make a second meal with. There was a good amount of beef inside it was tender seasoned well. It did come with sour cream and Spanish rice on the side. My waitress was attentive and even though the restaurant was about to close, at no point did I feel like I was being rushed to leave. Eventually she offered to bring me my check and a to-go box & bag. I was able to pay my bill online as I do not like swiping my card if I can avoid it. I bagged up my food and headed out. I can easily say that I will be back and would recommend this restaurant if you have a taste for a good Tex Mex meal.
What a wonderful place to have great food! We walked in and were welcomed with smiles. Our server Ace was attentive and fun. Erick came out and welcomed us. I frankly would come to this place simply for the personalities! We sit down and not only were we brought the usual chips and salsa, but another dip as well and it was AMAZING!! They called it crack sauce and I would agree. I ordered the enchiladas and the portions for the price were fantastic!!!!!! Highly recommend.
Food was delicious! The salsa that came with the chips was super spicy. The jalapeños dip is delicious!
I was very excited to try this place because of the good reviews on Google and from friends. So it was surprising to my family and I when we received hard, cold, flavorless food. My boyfriend and I ordered the Chicka-Chicka Boom-Boom Enchiladas and my daughter ordered the ground beef burrito. The pictures looked amazing and we couldn't wait to eat our meal. Sadly, the food wasn't up to expectations and it It seemed as though we got food that was made days earlier. The tortilla that was for the enchiladas and burrito were stale, the cheese had a weird consistency, and the chicken was unseasoned, boiled and overcooked. Whoever prepared our meal put dried up crumbles of ground beef on the side of my daughters rice and her beef burrito had a weird flavor. The rice was eh, the guacamole was plain; just a few tomatoes were thrown in. The only thing I liked were the beans. For 60 dollars a meal this was just not it for us. I’m from the northern states and have been raised around Mexican food all my life. This did not meet expectations. This is more of a Tex-Mex type place. If you are looking for a good Mexican place try El Tanampa. They have good prices and great flavor.
Had a great time and had some of the best hand made tortillas we ever had! They even gave our son some dough to play with after he watched the lady make a bunch of them. The peach sangria was delicious! The queso and guac also have a great taste you will only find at chuys. I have them started on maps and will definitely be stopping in next time I’m in town! 10/10 would recommend for a great time with awesome food and drinks!
Horrible parking at this location! Went for lunch and we love the chips and jalapeño dip! Was dissatisfied with the amount of chicken in my salad. Maybe 2 oz. I have had this at other locations and gotten an adequate amount. Restaurant was busy and alittle messy. But others in party enjoyed their fajitas and mole.
Chuy's is a great place for a consistent Mexican dining experience. We frequented the Waterford Lakes location before it was closed down. Fortunately Winter Park isn't too much further a drive for us. I always get the Elvis Presley Memorial Special - a great combination of foods with an enormous service size for a very reasonable price. The salsa and creamy jalapeno sauce are a treat each time here as well with the free chips. They are tasty enough that I always scarf down a ton and have to remember not to fill up so there is no room for the entree. Staff has always been kind to us, especially the kids, and Chuys definitely is up there for our family restaurant excursions.
