It all started with Giuseppe “Joe” Scalzo growing up in Southern Italy with his mother’s cooking. He later toured all over Italy, working and learning in restaurants and towns throughout the country, and brought his years of culture and cuisine with him to the U.S. That’s how he came to open Ciao Bella, a restaurant that combines the intimacy of the Italian trattoria with upscale dining. It’s here that guests can choose from a menu of elegantly plated dishes full of vibrant flavors. They can even learn about wine pairings so they can have a glass perfectly suited to their meal.
