Story

Cibo Matto Caffe opened in 2009 by chef and restaurateur, Peter Kuplast, a life-long Mansfield resident. The menu boasts many traditional Italian dishes, however, the chefs like to play with culinary flavors from around the world, which lends well to the restaurant's name which means "crazy food" in Italian.

This was a great place for pizza, which we were craving. The couple next to us got some sort of tacos which also looked amazing. Great beer selection and I think half the wait staff came by to entertain our 9 month old. Super friendly atmosphere with a nice outdoor patio. Five stars!

THE worst dining experience I have ever had. Was told there was an hour wait and specifically asked not to be seated by the door. Waited an hour for only available table...by the door. Was told that there would be an additional 20 minute wait for another table...waited TWO more hours watching others being seated ahead of me. I am a local resident who will not be giving another penny to this establishment just to be served mediocre food at its best. If I could give this restaurant ZERO stars I would.

My favorite place to dine! They have an amazing every day menu to suit any desire! But I like to grab the special because they are always something not commonly offered elsewhere, such as duck, bison, wagyu beef, wild boar, locally raised pork, frog legs, venison, and all types of seafood and local vegetables! They incorporate a lot of organic produce too!

We had a group of a dozen people including several rambunctious kids, and the server was absolutely wonderful. She was funny and friendly and patient, quick with our orders and just extremely pleasant and understanding. The food was also excellent. Great mac and cheese!

We stopped here for a bite to eat on the way to cape cod on a Friday night. The service was fantastic and the food was delicious. I had the chicken piccata and all of the ingredients were fresh and it had a great flavor. It was served piping hot. My son had the gnocchi and my husband had the chicken and broccoli. They have outside seating and inside seating. We sat in a booth which was clean and comfortable. I highly recommend this restaurant!
