Went to the movies. The plus side is that the seats look comfortable and are clean but couldn't help but wish they could recline a little bit. I hate the fact that you paid so much money for food yet you have to prepare it yourself. And that area is not clean and what's up with assigned seats. No way I'm fumbling around in the dark looking for a seat no way no how

Agree with many others. This mall has nice anchor stores and some good smaller shops inside but you will see a fair number of empty store spots and open spaces. Still worth exploring if you have never been.

Citadel mall is pretty OK. But it’s clearly another dying mall that’s passed it’s heyday. It’s pretty OK though. Even though a good chunk of the mall is closed. Only a little over half of the stores seem to be open. Whole sections of it seem to have few open stores. Clearly I didn’t choose the move happening and successful mall in Charleston. But I just wanted something to eat.

I used to live in Charleston South Carolina
 But now the Citadel mall is basically a desert. Not as busy as it used to be. Need  more stores here and more businesses.That's just my personal experience. But now I  live in a big city now Orlando Florida. Where the mall is always busy always crowded. IT'S  basically it's just sad here in the Charleston.  Maybe it's busy here Orlando because of terrorist but it should be the all the way around just need to do better in the Citadel Mallmmm

Have been a mall rat all my life. Grew up in the infancy of the mall. Met my wife while both of us worked at a mall. Citadel Mall is half empty. Dotted with the chain store usuals of a bygone era. Victoria Secret, Bath and Body Works, Claire's, etc. Stores that appeal to that certain pre teen age. The usual  chain stores that have become synonymous with the mall of the past. The only store that's connected to the mall is Target. Which is really only a slight upgrade to Wal Mart in appearance and maybe clientele. Most visitors of the Citadel Mall are those that are still trying to hold on to there youth. And hold on to notion of there malls of the past.
