Story

Citibus is the public transportation provider for the City of Lubbock. We provide fixed routes service, CitiAccess (paratransit system), special services, NiteRide and all on/off campus shuttles for Texas Tech University. Not to mention, all Texas Tech Students ride free! We offer daily, weekly and monthly passes at affordable prices.

With our new green initiative, Citibus is adding eco-friendly hybrid electric buses to its fleet to help shrink the City of Lubbock’s carbon footprint. Each bus saves as much as 40 percent on fuel costs, seats 32 passengers and up to 2 full size wheelchairs and is ADA compliant.

Citibus driver's are some of lubbocks best. Courteousness is a familiar trait of all the employess I've met.

The worst bus system in the world! In small Russian towns buses run more frequent and on schedule than here! Billion times bus drivers have driven by me standing and waiting for a bus on a bus stop. They would always run ahead of schedule, so if you are on time you are still late!!! I would understand if the difference in the schedule was 15 mins, but if you skip a bus you would have to wait another 30 mins when your apartment is 60 blocks away! The time they stop running is 7.30 PM and they don't run on Sunday. Like what the heck!!! Not everybody works until 7 PM and certainly not everyone has a car! Wouldn't even pay a dollar for a ride if I didn't have a student ID!

Pretty good service but sometimes the bus won't go through its stop. And they don't give a reason for it. I've had multiple experiences where I've sat at the bus stop waiting and it never came. None of them were holidays either so I couldn't understand why it didn't come through. It's a big inconvenience when they don't let people know the bus won't be coming by for whatever reason. Sit there looking like idiots.

Almost all of the driver's are great. The bus is nice and cold on the inside.
