Currently at the Mannheim Steamroller concert. Had to move from balcony seats to the lobby because the balcony is too hot for my 6 year old daughter. I'm sweating, too. Don't expect to be comfortable here. Talked to personnel who directed me to someone I believe was named Jeff. Jeff gave me the "I'll tell them about it" brush-off, because apparently thermostats hadn't been invented in the 1950s when the facility was built and no one who works for the City of Lubbock had thought to install any in the intervening 60 years, during which time no one had learned how the building acts with a full house. Jeff then stood there in the lobby talking to several people sitting around a table doing nothing. It was also nice to be there holding my overheated, coughing daughter's hand and my debit card while reading a handwritten sign saying "Cash Only" at the concession stand and being informed there was no ATM available. We did manage to find one water fountain that wasn't covered with a trash bag, although it had been unplugged and was hanging at a crazy angle. In fairness, I do have to mention that about ten percent of the people in the balcony left during the intermission and it was reasonably comfortable by the time the show ended. The building should be updated or razed.

We are in a line of over a 100 people and only one ticket window is open. My wife and I showed up over a half a hour early and we are going to miss the start of the show.
