I will tell you a short story to hopefully assist you through this disorganized and uninformed building department. I came in on a Wednesday to pull a non structural kitchen remodel permit with one tricky aspect on it, I was installing barn doors. Knowing I wasn’t getting the permit that day (OTC) I asked what would be required. I fulfilled the requests but since I was installing the barn doors and they didn’t notice on the first day, they wanted to get structural plans. Removed the doors and they still took it in as a submittal. Follow my other reviews coming soon and I will go town to town and post what I experience.
