Overpaid leaders, high taxes, high water bills, not business friendly, wastes taxpayers money on some of the lowest quality road work I've ever seen, they are slow and roads don't last a fraction of the time they shouldn oak and Monroe rd are perfect examples n oak was defective from the start with pathetic seam between lanes which they don't even seem to care About filling anymore. I wouldn't be surprised if the leadership is just giving the contacts to friends/family rather than a quality company that will warranty their work and do the job right the first time.
Will not buy or live here again !! High taxes !! High water bills !!! Nickel and dimes for everything !! You'd think a poor income city would want better but instead they Have high prices contributing to the poverty so you can't afford to better your own home. Very comparable to flint. Like the guy below said seems very shady and probably Gives work to family/ friends to profit off the low income here.
Paid my water bill at 7:21 this morning. Got home and no water. This incompantace would not survive the free market. Maby i will take tomorrow off of work and try and get the service i paid for.
My s/o and I purchased a beautiful historic home here back in June, 2022. We absolutely love this town! The kindness and courtesy of the people, and the outstanding service we receive from everyone at City Hall is amazing! Her and I couldn't be happier to live in such a wonderful place!
