Half the time I find a decent parking spot, the other half I gotta park on the 5th floor. Employees are great. Once I couldn't get my car out keys were stolen and my car stayed up there for 4 days, they helped me when I towed it down and even opened the "gate" with no charge. I'm so thankful for that. But alot of the times it smells of weed wouldn't mind if it was elsewhere and there's blunt guts and beer cans all over the elevator area.
Our car was towed away from this parking lot during the daytime. We contacted the city of Iowa City and they did nothing. They said that there was signage and that due to construction they towed our car. Our car was the only car that was towed. We sent them photos of other cars being parked around our car. There were no signage where we parked. Clearly, the city of Iowa City has the rights to tow away cars that are parked in places where it is legal to park.
The Capitol Street Ramp is fairly easy to access. Plenty of levels means there is usually available parking most of the time. In inclement weather, it's possible to enter the Old Capitol Town Center building on the 1st and 2nd levels for food and shopping.
Good parking ramp I guess
