I have lived here for 5 years now the rules are not that bad. The staff is fare the do what thy can thy don't make the rules thy just make sure thy are followed. At least with the policeman patrolling I fell very safe and we don't have. The problems a lot of places have I give 2 thumbs up to the staff for making this a nice place to call home!

I have lived here for almost 8 months. When I first moved in I asked about how the inspections worked and they said they come in every 3 months and give you notice before hand. Well they have been in every single month and sometimes twice a month under the pretense that they are checking the furnace filter, or "spray" day where someone just looks in your kitchen cabinets, and when they come in for these things they also say that while they're in here they will be checking the housekeeping of your apartment which is detailed in great length in your monthly news letters. People should be made aware upfront about their actual intentions to invade your privacy on a monthly basis when you move in. It is also true that you can be evicted for just about anything under the sun. We got a news letter a few months ago stating that if anyone was caught being rude to the rent-a-cop that patrols the property that they would be evicted. I know this place if funded by the government but I believe the government also supports my right to free speach as long and you're not resisting or endangering an officer. Another thing people may not know about living here is that you are required to complete community service if you work less than 32 hours per week. That goes for any adult in the home. So if you are two parents and you are each working to the best of your abilities but not what is considered "full time" you also have to do community service like you are a criminal and if you don't well then of course you can be evicted. I would just think twice about living in government housing before you come here because you really are giving up so many rights when you sign that lease and all because something happened in your life that required you to seek a little bit of help. #justfoodforthought

Very unfair unsafe unprofessional place in st.joe Angie could care less about real good people she has no heart she could care not about those who are really in need but good places to drug addicts and criminals just to evict them for the government money it's a scam stay clear if you know what's good for you. Knives with pull-on my children my daughter was called all kinds of bad names she 7 nobody cared when we said something the kids there are unruly rude obnoxious left to do what they want if you do live there they invade your privacy by inspecting your house once a month whether your home or not go through your closets Exedra for any little reason they can kick you out and evict you they will because they get paid to put more people in there by the government

Terrible, terrible, terrible customer service smh Something has to be done about the way they treat African Americans in there 84% white community. Sad to say in 2016 but I'm not surprised.

Although the St. Joseph Housing Authority has a kind and friendly environment, It does not advertise a number nor hours of operation on the door like other businesses. I strongly believe move should be made to have them posted to help out our community. Thank you for reading my review.
