Applying for a business license with the City of Tucker has taken over a month for me. I never get my emails replied and when Olivia picks up the phone she just hangs up on you for no reason. This process has lasted for over a month for me now for something that should have taken less than week. You actually have to drive there to inquire about a status. Something that should just take a simple phone call. There is always a reason why your license is not ready and you know it's a bullshit reason because all your inspections have been completed a long time ago. I have no idea if they really want to attract businesses to Tucker with this kind of approach or not. But in any case it's terrible. Start your business elsewhere if you can but definitely not here. They are just interested in taking your money and that is it.

Been trying to get my business license (which I am entitled to and I need it BADLY) for weeks now! Given lots of excuses, even though all of my paperwork had been imported from DeKalb Co., and they cashed my check for current fees - STILL no license, no answers, no returned emails, no call backs after several attempts. NOTHING. :( 
Can someone ask Ms. Olivia Wilson to please respond?

I have owned a Corvette dealership in Tucker, GA from 1991 to 2002 for which I moved it to I-85 and continue to operate it. I have loved Tucker, GA and knew once Tucker took over as a city, the town would bloom. The additions to the city council ---voted in----shows that the citizens of Tucker know who can take the city to a level of downtown Decatur.  Honey Van de Kreke, who I have known for 45 plus years is a leader and a shaker and one of the most honest persons I know of. DeKalb County has been thru a lot of dishonest leaders over the past several years. Tucker will lead the way for DeKalb to clean up their act. Hopefully Tucker citizens will support her as well as the other well respected city councilmen.

I had to get a permit for some work i was having done on my property and the process was a breeze.  Thanks for making it a pleasure to do business in Tucker!
