This is not a great place to go as a staff or as a client. There are unsafe situations that occur almost everyday there. The "positive peer culture" is a complete joke. If one kid says you did something then you have to "own up" to the behaviors in front of the entire dorm. The Student Government (The Eagles Club) gives out accountabilities that you have to do. I was assaulted during my 15 month stay there by two other clients. Nothing happened to them that would discourage them from doing it again. One of the clients assaulted a staff using a chair the next day. The staff are often overworked and late to work. this causes an "out-of-ratio" problem. Instead of hiring more staff to solve this problem the staff often work double or even triple shifts. The management is not the best either but they do try to make things better for everyone. they come up with great ideas to reward positive behavior but often lack the funds or they don't have time to fill out the paperwork. The therapy department on the other hand is full of people that care and give excellent services to the clients.
