I stayed at different clarion hotels several different times, but this was not a good experience. Room was not clean.  I'm a gold member and requested late check out, but the house keeping kept knocking on the door saying it was past my checkout (after I told them multiple times that I had a late check out). Once I was fed up and went to check out, I asked the front desk about my late check out. He looked it up and said "yes, it's here". I told him what happened and he said oh they shouldn't have done that you should have called down here.  I feel like they should have a list to let them know who is checking out late. Instead, I got rude people who didn't care.

Driving through on a long trip. For a privately family owned hotel, in this day and age, I was impressed with how well they do. The hotel appears to be kept up at the best pace they can do. The rooms have very dim lights and the place is old. Dont expect fancy. There is the perk of one front desk clerk administrstor, Katrina. She is polite, patient and more competent than other staff I encountered at the front desk. Katrina represents the Clarion well with great customer service.

I would consider staying again. They have 2 pools and a very full breakfast bar. The beds are comfortable. I liked the fact you have rooms downstairs with access to your car from the room. They have a security guard in the parking lots at night as well as security cameras around the whole perimeter.

The tv wouldn't stay in the channel we wanted, it kept changing. They tried to fix it but didn't happen. The staff was really nice. The room was old, and the bathroom needed to be cleaned up better. They should have done remodeling done for the price.. But no real huge issues as far as location and staff.

Absolutely rude front desk service. The facilities have become very warn and tired. Room was in bad condition and filthy. This used to be one of the top options for lodging in Modesto and that wasn’t long ago before it switched ownership. Now it’s a complete dump.

We arrived after midnight which made for an awkward time finding our room around the back. However the front desk was helpful and our room was clean. The continental breakfast had quite a variety, and as long as you like eggs in the morning (they don't agree with me) you'll find nothing lacking. I would have preferred a sausage option but that's just personal. Checkout was smooth. I did find a bathroom without hand towels or tp, which was addressed by the front desk as soon as I told them.
