Mr. Clark officiated an estate sale for my family. The process for us was effortless. Mr. Clark and his team took care of every single detail and treated the possessions of my mother's home with great care. He is EXTREMELY knowledgeable in his field and knew the worth and value of every single item in the home. Mr. Clark has a fun personality and his humor is contagious. My husband and I enjoyed talking with him and he made this process for us very easy! I highly recommend utilizing his services!

Although we went there while they were in the process of moving, so maybe the best stuff was already packed up, what we saw was pitiful. Everything was wildly overpriced and most of what they had were reproductions and thrift store items rather than actual antiques. However, everything was priced as if it was antique. The salesperson, who I believe was the owner, was impolite, unfriendly, and not very knowledgeable. We'll reserve final judgement for when they're in their new place, but don't have high hopes.

I am an acknowledged authority on antiques in New York, having ongoing relationships with Sotheby's Christies, and all the rest. That being said, it was Bernard Clark and his shop that got me interested in my chosen profession. I have frequented his shops for decades, and have always found Bernard Clark to be a VERY patient gentlemen with an incredible eye and exacting standards about what went into his shop. Knowing him and his standeards, I find the review stating that Bernard's Shop was full of junk reproductions and that he was rude impossible to believe. In fact, In all the years I have known him, I have NEVER seen Bernard sell anything that was not real and vintage. His shops and his eye have always been head and shoulders above all the local competition. I have not been to his shop recently, but knowing Bernard and his standards, I cannot imagine him offering anything substandard. Before he would do that he would literally close his shop. I have always found his shops and himself to be a delight to visit. Take care, Bernard. I still believe in you and like you, despite the fact that you led me to belong to our profession.
