Clarke’s is awesome! Fried thick chick is my life, and their macaroni and cheese is the bomb. Pickle fries, pimento goat cheese, smothered fries, everything. Amazing.

They have a slow kitchen, expensive menu, and bad food. Just go to chick fil a you'll get better everything. Their cocktails also use low quality ingredients.

Updated. Downgraded to ONE STAR. Everytime I have been here since the first, the service has been horrifically bad. Out of three visits I have given up on getting food twice due to slowness (30 min for water). This last visit took them 45 minutes to make a WAFFLE. They weren't even crowded. The waffles which arrived were not as ordered. My waffle was topped with microwaved frozen strawberries and some slapped on nutella. It was so soggy and miserable I didn't eat it. It was fail all around. One star. Original review: I had the spinach dip and the chocolate waffle. Both were excellent and the price was very reasonable. This is a good lunch place I terms of quality and price. Can't wait to come back and try the burgers next. Oh and the beer list is considerable.

UPDATE 9/22/17 - demoted to one star from 4. I've been here 2 times since my first review (4 stars) and both times the service has been so slow we nearly walked out. This last time it took 45 min (I timed it) to get a waffle. A WAFFLE. Waffles take 4 min to cook. It's not like we went at prime time, either. It was 2:30 pm on a Friday and half the tables were empty. Worse, the waffles (which I loved the first time I ate here) have gone seriously downhill qualitywise. The waffle itself was still good, but the toppings were just piled on and did not match the menu description. Everything was sloppy and my bananas were burned rather than caramelized. I forgive any restaurant a bad meal once. Everyone has bad days. But this combo of excruciatingly slow service and sloppy, subpar cooking has happened 2x in a row now, so I'm done. Will not be back again and will no longer recommend. Original review, 4 stars: Clean, modern space, though a little loud. Spinach dip was a bit lazy, but the coffee cream waffle was absolutely incredible, especially for $6. Really lovely mocha flavor and a nice bready waffle. Burgers looked lovely going by, will definitely be back to try one soon!
