There are very few independent motorcycle shops like this these days. A Shop run by and for enthusiasts. Jack and Nick are passionate about the Old Bike hobby. They are very patient when answering questions on the phone. They have worked on three of my motorcycles and I have been very happy with results. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone who’s trying to sort out a 60s or 70s British motorcycle.

I hemmed and hawed for two years, driving past this place. I love old bikes and they love old bikes, but they're into British Iron and I run Japanese stuff. Finally I stopped in and it turns out, they have metric tools!! :) I proceeded to bring my Honda 350 in there for a winter of prep work. Nick and Jack know so much about bikes -- British in particular -- but they're also just smart as heck. Inspired by the shop, I took to building a Suzuki T500 Titan race bike. I ran into as many problems as you'd expect building a racebike out of a 45+ year old street bike and every time I asked Nick to help me problem solve an issue, he had a solution (or two or three as needed). Last summer I put the bike on the track and took a second place. Absolutely would NOT have happened without the help, support and brain of Nick and Jack. Their knowledge, experience, problem-solving skills and tool collection would be cheap at twice the price.

I have been a guild member at Classic Bike Experience going on three years .When I decided to modify a dirt bike to create a one of a kind road racer, discovering CBE was like finding gold.I had no experience,no shop, and as a 64 year old woman thought the chances of being taken seriously were slim.Nick and Jack welcomed me with enthusiasm to match my own and if they had doubts they were discreetly and professionally disguised. They are not ONLY master class British bike restorers but enthusiasts for all things motorcycle - and great teachers! With their help I now have a unique bike that never placed lower than third in its road race class first year out. Love that place!

There is probably no shop in the country exactly like CBE. Using their program which allows a person to work on his own bike, using their tools and having them to ask advice from, I have completely rebuilt three classic British bikes over the past four years: a 1969 Norton Commando; a 1970 Triumph Bonneville and a 1968 Triumph Trophy TR6R. All of them are stunning (if I do say so myself) and all of them run beautifully. These guys know old British bikes like the backs of their hands! In addition to the Guild, where folks work on their own bikes, Jack and Nick do engines, gearboxes and some full restos for folks who can't do their own work. These two guys are the most honest, friendly and reliable mechanics I've ever met. With the skills I've developed, I'm now restoring a 1981 BMW R65 at the Guild. Great shop, great people.

I brought my dusty old 1975 Triumph Trident to Classic Bike Experience in the winter of 2015, and asked them if they could get her pretty and road-ready for me. They said that they could do so, but preferred to have me save a bunch of money and learn about my bike by joining their Wednesday night wrenching group. This was despite my confession that my skills ended just beyond oil changes and cable adjustments. Six months later I was on the racetrack at Loudon, NH enjoying the bike at a track day - what an experience!! The bike looked and ran great, and Jack and Nick at CBE led me through the entire process. Not a full restoration, but a wonderful transition from idle garage queen to a screaming track bike. Unfortunately, finances drove me to sell the Trident (for a profit) last year. However, I missed the comaraderie and moto-education of CBE so desperately that I bought a 1974 BMW R90S in need of much TLC to rejoin the group. Try it - you'll like it!!
