My kids and I enjoyed walking through this colonial era farm. The staff is in-character and they answer any questions you might have about their lives in that time period. My kids loved petting the 7 week old piglets. My daughter said that part made it the best day of her life. We also helped pick flowers and the lady told us what they would be used for. We went inside a small house in which they had a fire going and a table of food. They explained how they would prepare the food and how the men would travel to the market. We also liked shopping in their store . They had a nice selection of locally jarred jams and butters. This was very educational and I only wish there was a little more to see here. We spent 1-2 hours here and it cost $11 for 2 kids and 1 adult.

We have been here a couple of times for the Market Festival in different seasons. It's a fun way to spend a few hours, with some crafts, a few small performances, and affordable food and drink. They have many activities for children to participate in during the day, and you can wander the rest of the farm to check out some of the other living history buildings. It's not a terribly large venue and the Market Festival is not huge, but it's definitely worth a visit if you live in the area!

This is a fun little farm located right next to a government facility. Once you are inside you do get a sense of stepping back in time. The park is not very big and only has a few features but it is perfect for families with little children.

If you already have the yearly pass to the national parks, this is definitely a place to go. The kids will have fun, and you might just learn something.
