On 06/10/2017, unit L20/R24 came to pick up my dad due to a massive heartattack, and needed immediate attention. While rescue was on the way to the hospital, the driver decided to stop the ambulance in front of Green Cove City Hall to tell my family members to not run any red lights, even if they did. We never ran a red light, and were shocked that the driver had time to stop the ambulance and walk over to our vehicle while my father was in critical conditions, and in need of emergency care. They were extremely unprofessional even when they came to our home. It could be because we are a Hispanic family, and they didn't feel the need to keep my father as there priority. My dad was placed in an enduced coma due to the delay it took to bring him to the hospital a timely manner.
On 9/8/2018 my husband suffered a blood pressure and pulse event that required immediate attention. I called 911 and within 5-8 minutes rescue arrived. They were polite and courteous and immediately jumped in to tend to my husband before transporting him to the hospital. I don’t remember any of their names but if I could , I would profusely thank and give a hug to each and every one of them. I am proud of our Clay County fire and rescue team.
It took over a hour to get to my school and it is less than 5 minutes away. Plus they was not dressed for a potential fire. They got dressed for a fire when they arrived. Thank God there was no fire because everything would have been lost.
