I went to Cleveland with my husband who had a performance at another venue on NYE. The hotel was reserved by the promoter for us. Once I arrived and explained the situation and considering how cold it was outside the front desk lady was more than happy to get me into the room. She was intercepted by a manager who was adamant about not letting me in and was fine with me sitting in the lobby for 3 hours until my husband's plane landed. (Incidentally it was 6 hours because his plane was delayed again) We did get the promoter to add my name to the reservation and the manager would not check the reservation until my second request to check it again after hour and a half. The manager made me give her a credit card before she would let me into the room. They then put the whole charge for the hotel on my card and not on the card for the promoter who the hotel was reserved and paid for under. I called the hotel and so did the promoter and they would not reverse the charges so they got paid twice for the same room. The rooms were nice and so was the hotel but the customer service did not match. Oh and the bartender Mike was awesome I needed a drink after all the issues they gave me at the front desk.

Very nice hotel. The staff was wonderful and helpful at check-in. They even gave my husband a late check-out as he was not attending the symposium with me. The food served at the symposium I attended was healthy and tasty with plenty of food and beverages for everyone. The room was clean and comfortable with a mini fridge and wonderful smelling toiletries. The only complaint I had was the mattress was well worn and needed to be replaced. It was very lumpy and I didn't sleep well at night. Other than that, I love Marriott hotels. This one is right off the freeway, easy to find, and near lots of restaurants and shopping. Hopefully they are updating their mattresses and there will be a more comfortable bed the next time I visit.

Allowing a fur store to have a fur sale on the premises is disgraceful and in very poor taste. Animals killed for their fur are killed in horrific ways, anally electrocuted and often skinned alive. Shame on Cleveland Marriott East for allowing this sales event on their property. The manager said the fur store paid for the room and what they do with it is their business. I guess anything goes as long as you’re willing to pay for it. Perhaps solicitation would also be acceptable at this hotel. Anything for a buck, I guess. C’mon, Marriott, it’s 2018! Get with the program. Fur is dead.

Staff was very nice. Bathrooms super clean clean. Parking lot maintained very well. The party room was really nice

Fantastic hotel!! Walking in you see how beautiful and clean it is. Every single team member was exceeding our expectations. Great stay
