SORRY WE'LL BE CLOSED FOR 2017, BUT WE'LL BE BACK OPEN IN SPRING 2018. At the base of the Brazos Cliffs and Corkins Lodge, just 30 minutes SE from Chama, and 15 scenic minutes east of Highway 84 on Highway 512, The Cliffview Restaurant & Bar offers New American cuisine, comfort food, steaks, and seafood and spirits in a menu that updates each week.

We've recently renovated/upgraded our rustic interior, have added outdoor seating and now offer a fully-stocked bar: the big screen is there when you want it, off when you don't.

I love this place. I grew up just down the road from here and it was a great place to get together during the summer season.

I lived in the Brazos for a few months a half mile from Cliff view so my son, parents, and I ate there several times a week. The staff members are always friendly, the head chef has earned his title as the entries are original and prepared with the skill and care that only those passionate about food can achieve. Being as we sat at the bar almost Evert visit we came to know the bartender (Charlie) quite well. On top of being one of the nicest people I've met in the area, he can definitely mix a drink, and his margaritas are among the best I've had. Being as the place is ran by the same small staff, the food and drinks are consistently excellent and I have yet to taste anything I didn't enjoy thus far. The drinks are strong, the food portions are huge, and the ambiance of the place with the rustic and historical design and decor are a perfect fit for the area. I have since moved away from the Brazos to Chama but guarantee I will be dining here opening day next season!

We had an event at Corkins Lodge last October and, like C.L., the Cliffview Restaurant experience was amazing. While there are other places nearby - like High Country Cafe - with good food and atmosphere, the experience here was stellar. John McVey is the new manager they've brought in, and he'll be back in 2014 (and beyond...fingers crossed).
