Story

Clipper Magazine Stadium is a 6,000-seat baseball park in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Its first regular season baseball game occurred on May 11, 2005, in which the Lancaster Barnstormers lost to the Atlantic City Surf, 4-3. The ballpark also hosts the New Era Tournament for midget baseball and the Lancaster-Lebanon League high school baseball championship, and was the site of the 2008 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference baseball championship. In October 2008, the venue hosted vice-presidential nominee, Sarah Palin, for the Road to Victory rally during the 2008 United States presidential election. Clipper Magazine Stadium was honored as the "Ballpark of the Year" by the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball following the end of its 2013 regular season. The award commemorated Barnstormers' staff for their excellence in groundskeeping and stadium operations.Clipper Magazine Stadium also serves as the corporate headquarters for the Atlantic League. The ballpark is named for Clipper Magazine, a local periodical company, which purchased the naming rights for $2.5 million over ten years. This agreement was extended in 2013 through the 2019 season.

This is a beautiful little ballpark in Lancaster, PA. It is easily reachable by car from the highway, has free parking for games, great seating and plenty of activities for children inside the ballpark. You can walk around the entire field inside the stadium. There is little to nothing to dislike about the stadium. It is a very pleasant place to take the family for a ball game. Over the winter of 2018 they made improvements to the play areas for children.

Went for an Easter egg hunt and the event was disorganized and people did not follow directions. Line was all the way around the stadium to get in and the ticketing to get in to event was not made very clear. The Easter egg hunt went crazy went adults and kids just started picking up eggs from other kids areas and some kids got lost along the way. Not the fault of the people working there but the event seemed very understaffed. We might never go to an event like this again. Food was decently priced for a sporting event.Look forward to baseball game being much different result than the event we went to.

Great stadium environment. Reasonably priced. Great place to bring your family, and excellent fireworks. Can't beat the location, as is within walking distance of several of my favorite restaurants if you wanna make an entire evening out of going here.
