The staff-incompetent and RUDE.  I could NOT believe as a customer that I would get the treatment they gave ME.  YOU WILL NEVER get MY BUSINESS again.  And I Will NOT Recommend anyone to you.

Definitely use a different roofing company if you live in Shawnee.

If you want to a good laugh at my expense please read on.

I had to have two things done to my house.  Re-roofing and minor repair to the front eave.  The first guy came out to the house on time and was professional so I thought I was dealing with a professional company. Nope.

First.  We scheduled a time for them to show up but they didn't.  I called them to ask them if they were going to come out and they said that they were having problems with my insurance company not wanting to pay.  This was false.  The insurance agency just wanted verification on the repairs needed which COBAR didn't want to provide.  Also, the COBAR representative was also trying to add bogus costs after the fact even though we had a contract.  It was their contract that came from their inspection. The COBAR representative also told me that they couldn't come to an agreement two weeks prior to our appointment but just didn't want to tell me.  Also, I have AAA insurance and they paid COBAR as soon as they sent the proper documentation.

Second. COBAR wanted to re-deck the whole house because I have the old style wood planks even though they are sturdier that the plywood decking.  They told me that I would have to pay for the new plywood because the shingle manufacturer wouldn't warranty them with the old style decking and it was also city code to add the plywood. First of all I don't live in city limits so city codes don't apply. Second of all, I called the shingle manufacture and they said that the COBAR was in correct.  Our style of roof was completely fine.  The representative for Corning Roofing was very polite and responsive by the way.

Third.  They called to try to up sale me to a more expensive shingle.  I told they that I was find with the shingle we have chosen.  Then the representative told me that they would put on the more expensive shingle anyways because they forgot to order the correct one. 

Fourth.  After doing the minor repair to the front eave they left a big whole in it.  I called COBAR to ask what the deal was and they said they have a vinyl siding guy that is coming out in a week to finish it.  I said that they need to put something over the whole because I don't want birds in my attic. They said they would have someone come out. Nobody did and I had to get birds out of my attic the next day and close the whole up myself.

After COBAR was finished I have also had to perform minor repairs to the facia and drip rails due to poor workmanship.

Also, our AAA representative told me that she has never dealt with a more incompetent and rude company.  

If you live in Shawnee you should talk to Extreme Roofing and King Davids.

I would have given them two stars since the roofing crew was a least nice but I know they will add bogus reviews to boost their rating.

Cobar Roofing and Construction was excellent in helping me get my roofing and siding fixed after this last storm this year. Cory was very helpful in working with my insurance company and I'm glad that he was there to help me. They initially were not going to pay for everything that was damaged in the storm, but Cory helped to get my home fully restored. 

I would highly recommend Cobar Roofing not only for roofing but also siding work if you are in Shawnee or even in the Oklahoma City area. They really care about their clients and I'm sure they will do a great job for you like they did for me.
