" We think a funeral service should be a very special tribute
to the life of a loved one."
With that philosophy, in 1949 the Cocklin Funeral Home came into being through the efforts and dedication of two brothers, G. Kenneth Cocklin and James A. Cocklin. Their expertise, attention to detail, and personal service soon became well known in the Dillsburg and surrounding areas.
In 1962 J. Larry Cocklin joined the firm as a partner. The son of James A. Cocklin, Larry along with his wife Nancy, eventually purchased the business, becoming sole owners of the Cocklin Funeral Home in 1980. Scott D. Brenneman joined the firm as a licensed funeral director in 1988. Becky J. Cocklin, daughter of J. Larry Cocklin, joined the firm in 1992, making her the third generation of Cocklin's associated with the funeral home. In the spring of 2000, Scott and Becky became sole owners of Cocklin Funeral Home.
To continue to provide the Dillsburg and surrounding community with an unending dedication to Family Memorialization.
