This post is take from a post on Facebook ( that has been shared almost 200 times) 
I was just at COCOs on the green in BRANFORD. A mom was trying to shop with a toddler who was crying and fussy. After some time a store employee said, “your baby seems very unhappy maybe you can come back another time.” The Mom calmly asked if the worker was bothered by her child and if this was problematic. The worker said “if it continues it will be” and added that it would deter others from shopping. The mom politely asked what the employees’s role was in the store and the woman identified herself as the store owner. The Mom quietly gathered her items at the front of the store, even offering to put the items back where she found them. I walked over to ask if I could help in anyway. She declined and tearfully explained that she doesn’t get much help and that she was just trying to get her mother something for Mother’s Day 😢.  As she was hurriedly trying to get her toddler situated in the stroller, I similarly abandoned the things I had in my hand and on my way out I let the owner know that I would not return to the store. ✊🏼✊🏼✊🏼

I grew up with a single mom and my brother and I were a lot to handle at our best! I could not help but to imagine my mom in a similar situation and my heart broke for this young mom.  To the owner who shamed this Mom attempting to honor and celebrate her own, shame on you! 

Next Sunday is Mother’s Day. Give thanks to your mom, a maternal figure, or women in general because without them, nothing is possible. At the very least, BE KIND.  

Thank you to all the moms out there, especially to my very own ❤️.  What you did to raise us was nothing short of miraculous. You rock and you are my hero for so many reasons.

There are two sides to every story-and these negative reviews should be removed!  One person can seriously damage another’s business through their social media slander.

Hearing the owner shame a mom, single or otherwise is disgraceful. Perhaps you should think twice about alienating one person, turns into 100s...just before Mother’s Day too! #womenempowerwomen

Owner is rude. Needs to find a new occupation because customer service certainly isn’t her thing!

I read the Facebook post. The owner treated that mother very poorly and with no compassion whatsoever. I will never shop there after learning what type of person runs that business. Shameful.
