It's a cute coffee shop. Customer service isn't the greatest. I've been going to this coffee shop on a bi-weekly basis for almost a year, and it does not feel welcoming. They have a points system on drinks that I discovered on my own. I will not be returning because of an interaction with a staff this morning. This is not a way I would like to start my morning. My bagel was also burnt. Otherwise the coffee and lox Bagels are great.
Great coffeeshop plus cafe. Coffee was served in these large cups. Food was surprisingly good. Definitely recommend the grilled chicken sandwich! Flavorful combination of chicken, pesto, tomatoes and melted cheese on crispy bread. The bread was also surprisingly flavorful. Great place to spend a short or extended amount of time in. Outlets available for laptop work.
Let me start with the positives: Their espresso is good - the lattes I order are consistent and never too bitter. This place also has GREAT bagels. I'm not sure where they source them from, but they're large, fluffy, and well baked. The service staff is always friendly and you can tell they hustle, work hard, and care about their customers -- although there's usually always a wait time for food. They are also maybe unofficially? a dog friendly establishment. Now for the negatives: Regular coffee is meh. I switched up my usual latte order to an iced coffee once, hoping to spend less $$, and won't do it again -- ended up tossing the coffee and ordering a latte anyway :/. And that brings me to my biggest negative...it feels overpriced. I got a small iced latte and an acai bowl and they charged me 19 dollars?!?! And when I got home, what I saw GREATLY disappointed me disclaimer I walked for about 15 more minutes before getting back to my apartment. There was hardly any acai, it was basically liquid, and it was also terribly sweet. So my takeaway: it's a great place to go on the weekends for a "special treat" coffee and a simple snack such as a pastry or bagel, but the food doesn't feel worth the price, and it won't be somewhere that I can visit for my daily cup of coffee.
I’ve been to this cafe probably 3-4 times after discovering it and I like the shop itself but now I feel kinda unwelcome and don’t want to come back. one of the baristas is not friendly and quietly frowned when they saw me come in. Another barista made a comment about my frequent visits which was awkward and weird. I’ve honestly never been rude to them.
A cool spot to come for lunch with your coworkers or even a lunch date.... This place is just a quick service and AC away from a five star rating. Unfortunately when I went there they were three people waiting and I had ordered her a smoothie there was only one guy at the counter. Took my smoothie about 10 to 15 minutes come out. They have a lot of things on the menu I will deathly try the coffee one time. The setting is really cool but it was just really hot and the ACs were not on. That is why I had to get the smoothie and not the coffee.
Excellent neighborhood coffee shop. I frequent this place very often due to the convenience and dependability. Prices are what you’d expect for NYC not cheap, but they’re fast and tasty. They even have a garage door that opens with nice fresh air flowing in on a good day.Food: 5/5
The first time I stopped into this coffee shop I realized it was a small location that you can sit and enjoy a brief meet up or grab some coffee to go. I was not happy with my first interaction with the employee's at this shop. However I did give them the benefit of the doubt and tried going back to this location several times. The Tiramisu cake is what I generally purchase on my visits there because I love having it with my coffee. I have tried their food but it was not something that they carried directly on the menu. My regular purchase is usually a large Iced Latte and a slice of tiramisu. I Usually get my order to stay, some days they would walk it to my seating area other days I would have to walk to the counter to pick it up. This confused me to a high velocity because if I order my food to stay your job is to bring it to my seating area. However that was not always the case which did disturb me some. The other issue I did have was the flies that were constantly in the back seating area of the restaurant. When I go somewhere I like to feel a sense of being welcomed and I did not always feel that when I entered this establishment. That plays a huge part in customer service and returning customers to a business. One of the days I did visit this particular establishment I ordered a drink that they have on their menu. It is called a golden latte, this drink was presented to me hot and I did order it cold. When you order it cold it is not appeasing at all. The lady that made the drink seemed confused when I first ordered my drink because she did make the drink hot, I was confused as well because I ordered a cold drink. She looked as if she wanted to say something but she did not. The lady that took my order did not tell her that I wanted my drink cold. After having this latte and being dissatisfied with my purchase I went back to the counter to ask the lady was that specific drink meant to be cold hot and she said yes. My sentiments were if it was meant to be sold hot you could have given me an indicator and I would not have wasted my time energy and money purchasing this item. After that purchase I ended up throwing the latte in the garbage to purchase the original latte that I purchased previously. If you have a customer purchasing something for the first time giving them advisement on the drink they are purchasing if they have never had the drink before would be the ideal way. However that knowledge and information was never divulged to me which brought me to a different tone and temperament on this location. There were a few issues that brought me to this review that I am posting. I do not write reviews based on one visit my reviews are written based on numerous visit to a location unless the first visit was super unpleasant. There were just too many issues that kept taking place each time I was in this establishment. Vegetarian options: It is slim to none just a few items that state they are vegetarian
This is a lovely little unpretentious spot. When you walk in you are met with an enthusiastic hello and useful follow up questions for your order. They offer free Wi-Fi and the food was well prepared. I got a matcha tea latte and the veggie omelette. Prices are between $5 bagel and cream cheese and $14 Lox bagel sandwich. Smoothies are $10. Also not mad at the Jagged Edge and Beyoncé that they were playing while I was there.
the latte was okay. the tiramisu arrived frozen. the veggie omlette was straight up disgusting. had a bite and couldn't eat the rest. awful, awful.Food: 1/5
Very good Espresso Macchiato. Nice roomy interior Good music The place is very finely decorate in pale shades of green with a wall painting, a lot of light and a beautiful retro looking espresso machine. The espresso macchiato is perfectly prepared with a creamy deep tasting strong espresso and a dash of milk foam. The audio system distillates good lounge vibes too. A nice place to chill out, work, discuss.
