Last week I made an appointment for 9 a.m.today. I was told to make sure I arrived early and did so. I went there and sat there for over 40 minutes to then be told that my doctor doesn't work today. And supposably that I can't be seen right now. Keep in mind I live 45 minutes away and explained that I have another appointment at 2 so it'd be hard. I was told I need to come back around 4 o'clock if I want to be seen. There was nothing else they could do. No one took responsibility for booking an appointment that doesn't exist nor apologize for my inconvenience. I think this is absolutely ridiculous and absurd. Apparently my time is nothing but it inconvenience on their time. With that being said I will never recommend this doctor and I'm changing doctors. To those are looking for a doctor in Cohoes I strongly suggest looking elsewhere. This is not the first time this happened.

This practice is the worse in customer service and compassion for human life I have ever visited in Cohoes, NY. They were unprofessional, noncompassionate and had no value for the human life they signed up to protect as a medical facility. My relative with hypertension and diabetes was referred here from Albany Medical Center Emergency Room to see Kaitlin S Kuwitzky, PA-C for continuing care. We spoke to Joelitza and Tanya the Office Manager. Most important, we are new in the Cohoes area, and she had no medication to keep her going with hypertension and diabetes. Our appointment was at 10 AM. Because my relative is unable to walk and need a wheelchair plus a lot more time to prepare, we needed more time to get ready in the morning. We called the facility to inform them we will be running late for the appointment at 8 AM, 8:30 AM, 9 AM and 9:30 AM and in all cases nobody picked up. The system kept directing us to voicemail. We showed up at 10:20 AM. The receptionist told us, the Doctor/Nurse Practitioner can see us because we are more than 15 minutes late. The facility was empty with less them five people and they were very relaxed. We explained the issue to the receptionist and office manager on duty, but none gave it any consideration. Instead, they refused to see my relative with the statement; they have a 15 minutes late policy and nothing can be done They did not acknowledge the fact that we called their office, and no one picked up. They did not accept the fact that the new patient they are refusing could die without her medication. They ultimately refused to see her even after we pleaded with them that she has no drugs, right now, she is a senior, and she is new to the United States. As I write, We are without her hypertension and diabetes medication because this facility was unable to see her write a prescribe for her medication. The emergency room cannot write such prescription according to them. She is seating home with fingers across until we get another appointment. I expected much more from a community medical facility.

Robert Smith is amazing. The whole office is... they are a part of my family. They go above and beyond what most don't do.
