The runway is 8900 ft. Long X 100 ft. Wide, the valley where the airport is located is narrow and surrounded by mountains that will give you plenty to think about when the wind kicks up. Cross wind conditions are the norm up here with 15 to 25 knots, mountain turbulence and high density altitude being a standard day. If you have the performance and flying skills required for this type of airport you will be rewarded with great skiing in the winter and beautiful scenery with mild temperatures in the spring, summer and autumn. Call ahead to reserve rental cars as there is no rental car, taxi, bus or shuttle service in the area. Plan a few days to explore and you will find yourself coming back for the relaxed, clean and uncrowded spaces.
