Serving in a profession that handles end-of-life care, I always realized the importance of estate planning. However, I personally always put my personal planning on the “back burner.” After acquiring a business, I found myself in a position with many unanswered questions. Working on the day-to-day operations, I was concerned about my inability to work and in the needed case, the transition of the business to successors. Attorney Collins and his team were knowledgeable, concise, and efficient. Giff took both my personal and professional situation into account, melded the two together, gave me recommendations, and created a tailored trust for me. From our initial consult to finalizing and signing the trust documents, Giff and his team exceeded my expectations.
We worked with Deanne for estate planning . She was very knowledgeable about putting together a living trust and we value her insight and all recommendations she gave . She promptly responded to any questions we had throughout the process and developed the Trust within our desired time frame . Going into this process , I had a lot of anxiety about how it should be done, but Deanne relieved those fears and made it a really positive experience. We had often talked about our retirement and making sure that our things were taken care of, whether in a will or a trust. A colleague of my wife recommended Deanne Robison and the Collins Law Firm. From the moment we were introduced, Deanne made us feel welcome and at ease. There was so much for us to consider in understanding trusts and protecting our assets, while making a smooth transition or transfer when the inevitable moment of either of us passing on would happen. Deanne was able to clearly explain everything we needed to consider. She really made the process of understanding and decision making so amazingly smooth and understandable. There was never any pressure applied, always a free exchange of information, and she was open and available at any time to answer questions that would come up during our meetings together, as well as when we were reviewing documentation at home. I met with Gifford Collins to create an estate plan. I'm in my early 50's and saw this as the next step after creating a financial plan with an advisor. I am single with no dependents, but am close to my family and wanted to make it as easy as possible for them should I become incapacitated or die. I believe everyone should have an estate plan, even a simple one. Gifford is very approachable, patiently explaining things in regular terminology. In the first meeting he described the process and what I should expect at each of the meetings. Because of my recent financial planning I might have been more prepared in my goals than some people might be. Yet Gifford's insightful questions added a few things I hadn't considered. He emphasized asset protection from non-financial risk. I don't plan to leave a large legacy, but do want whatever there is to be available to my family, not the courts or others. Gifford is very knowledgeable and thorough. Be prepared for a thick stack of organized papers. He helpfully includes a summary in less legal terms. I trust the estate plan and my relationship with Gifford will meet my needs.
Deanne and everyone did an excellent job. She was detailed in completely explaining the process and my options. Everyone was friendly and very helpful. I also appreciated the secure portal site that they offered for online security. I cannot over express how beneficial their service is if your interested in protecting your estate for your loved ones.
Collins Law Firm was fantastic! The attorneys are very knowledgeable and are willing to explain and answer any questions. Everyone in the office is very pleasant and friendly and the office atmosphere is warm and welcoming. On a scale of one to ten, I would rate Collins Law at 12+.
