Greetings to all at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home: 
Although the pain of my father's death is still and will be with us for a long time, the only peace at the live moment was for the complete and professional service Colonial Chapel placed upon our family's ordeal. From our initial meeting, Ed presented us with options with clear information to process and to proceed in an efficient yet caring manner through our last days with our father. His warm nature, yet without any condescending/patronizing attitudes, reassured us entirely that we were in good hands as the cleanliness of the home was evident and refreshing as well.There will be a good chance I may never see Ed and the rest of the family at Colonial Chapel, but he acted as a guide, as a friend and overseer during our family's tragic event. Colonial Chapel has most likely serviced hundreds of families, but they still made us feel special from their heart and hand. Thank you. Ruben Ramos

I attended a wake there last week for a friend.  The funeral home is beautiful, clean and friendly.  The staff was always around to help or answer any questions you may have.  They  did an excellent job on my friend, he looked great!  Everything  was done  excellently!!  I would highly recommend this funeral home!

Good Morning, I want to start off by saying thanks to Ed and his staff at Colonial Chapel. This was our 1st time dealing with a loss within our family, my dad passed away on June 12th. His wish was to be cremated when that day had come and so my job was to find a suitable funeral home that offered this service. After searching online, I found Colonial Chapel. As I walked through their front door, I noticed that it had that home style feeling. Meeting with Ed and sitting down talking to him, describing how my dad was with his principals and how he had passed down those same principals to my older brothers and myself, he could relate with his own family principals. I knew at that point that Colonial Chapel was the right place for my dad to be at. I'm not an expert at funeral homes but I have to say that Ed and his staff really took care of my dad and gave my mom that feeling that my dad was taken care of. Their professionalism, explaining to us the service they were going to provide and they also showed us that personal attention making us feel comfortable throughout this ordeal. I'm guessing that other funeral homes start off with explaining things along with the financial part of it. Ed's focus was from the day I walked in to the last day of my dad's service, never mentioned finances, his focus was on the family and my dad. Once again thank you Ed for giving us that smooth sailing feeling. We had our dad's funeral mass on the 17th, my dad's ashes were returned the following day, which was Father's day. My mom was sad which is expected after 60 years of marriage, but she cheered up when Ed called me that morning informing me that I can pick up my dad and bring him home for Father's Day. I don't know if other places would've been able to do that, but I thank you Ed for caring and giving my mom, family, and friends joy knowing that my dad was finally home. If someone is reading this that has just lost a loved one, Ed and his staff at Colonial Chapel will show you the professionalism and personal touch that he has shown to my family and myself. On behalf of all of The  Ramos Family, we give thanks to Ed and everyone at Colonial Chapel for giving us peace of mind, along with the wonderful service you gave to my dad. Colonial Chapel and Ed Damstra provided such a wonderful and respectful service for us with the passing of our mother. Our requests were carefully and thoughtfully handled, very superb suggestions were offered, and their assistance with the Memorial service was outstanding. From start to finish, everything was first rate. It's what we wanted for our Mom, and it's what Colonial Chapel achieved. Well done and thank you.

Our experience with Colonial Chapel Funeral Home was amazing under the circumstances of our father's loss, Ed made the whole experience warm and loving, the funeral home itself was very nice and clean and until the end Ed made sure everything was on point, it was a sad but I was more then satisfied with the funeral home and Ed.
